Sheryl - I hope that both you and Chris are able to get some rest. Glad that Alexis is coming around.
Seriously - that's insane
And I thought the schools down here were bad.
Have a great trip!
for your nephew - glad he's okay.
So I am SO GLAD I'm not in NYC this year. Their crummy weather aside, I hear that the school is even MORE unorganized this year than last! My friend has a class list of 34 and she keeps getting more. They are in two different grades and they are varying levels of English proficiency; she has to teach lessons in both Spanish and English. She has no textbooks and no notebooks. She is two days into the school year and already behind on paperwork, in part because she has not yet gotten that either. She is not allowed to be in the building later than 4pm, yet is expected to get everything done. We always said we were flattered they thought we could work such miracles.![]()

My hubby FINALLY told me today, "you know what? NOW I am excited!"
My kids are starting to bounce of the walls for Saturday to get here already and I am exhausted and not functioning well. napped but could stayed there till morning. Paul came home early, also tired b/c he has been on my schedule too, napped and is now cutting the grass so he doesn't have to worry about THAT all week. He likes the lawn looking good-always, not just now.
I am not even sure I am completely packed b/c I haven't looked at MY luggage since last week. I did the kids, checked and rechecked~ did Paul's on Tuesday night, with him~ need to recheck mine now!
I'll be more excited tomorrow!
Gavin, my nephew, did fine today-we did find out he is one of those kids who freaks out coming out of anasthesia(sp?)- he was screaming his cute little head off.
Lori
Have a great trip!
