The AP came to me today and told me that "I found out that you were happy when you turned in the paper that said you're not returning." *oh s***!*

(and I know most jobs are obnoxious but this is just getting out of hand...)

Hi Everyone! My last day at Entergy is a couple of days away (Friday) and then it's back on the travel trail again! But maybe a little more time to visit!

Lori- I hope DH hears something and you all ultimately go where you need to be, even if that's not where you want to be. I know it's hard to do, but keep in mind there's a reason for everything.

Kathy - I hope your trouble with the stones ends quickly. I understand how painful they can be. I've never had to deal with them myself, but my Dad & sister have both had trouble with them. Dad has kidney issues, so he's actually on medication to help keep them from forming.

Is it your first time to have stones? Make sure you call your dr. Try to find out if it is a change in diet or meds that might have triggered the episode. And drink lots (!) of water. Dad's always flared up in the summer because he spent so much time outdoors & had trouble staying hydrated. Hope you feel better soon!

Lorie - glad the sciatica is over. I fought that myself - no fun! Oh, and DH better be careful, having the nerve to laugh at his waddling wife. Sounds like you need to keep that wine gift all to yourself!

Piglet - Hope today is going better for you. To think you had the audacity to be happy turning in your relocation papers...sounds like a little jealousy brewing.

Well DH told me that the contractor is starting tomorrow on my bedroom closet! I can't believe it is finally going to happen! I'm not looking forward to the construction mess though. Better to deal with it now than later I guess...

We still are hearing nothing but for a good reason today...DH had a co-worker whose son died from Brain cancer and his funeral/wake is today in Dallas. Soooo sad....I am sure everyone in the area, incl his future boss, will be there. I am so sad for her.

Hoping for a productive day. Ohh and THIS the the day we have dinner with the CEO and Ashton has a mini play at the same time!!!! I am probably going to her mini play-we've been knowing about it and she spent the weekend in play rehearsals, but we didn't realize it was for tonight!

Ooh Lori I like that idea! Thanks! The funniest thing about turning in the form is that I didn't say or do anything at first, it was the secretary that I have it to who got all excited because she didn't even know I had been trying to get out. When she showed she was happy for me, that's when I showed I was happy! This is the same school that if you say good morning to someone, you're likely to get a "what's so good about it?" as a response.

I like the bulletin board idea too! Although they can already find Louisiana on the globe, and pick out nola on the USA map. New York on the other hand....not sure why they can't remember where it is! I'm going to take the idea and run with it...I'm going to get a subway map and have them think of places they could go in the summer and put train directions how to get there and find the place on the map. That will be perfect for June. Map skills, writing directions, and describing a place. 3 skills at least! Woohoo! Thanks!
Today is going okay so far but I don't way to jinx anything!

I had planned to go have dinner with my dept and CEO, our boss and admin person, but Ashton has a little play. I really shouldn't be torn-the kids are 1st, but the CEO thingy should be enlightening!!

Ugh! the news on the swine flu is really scary!

Woot! On my way home from another day. I only got 2 more memos today and also I had to move the furniture again so that they could scrape the ceiling and put on new paint. Yay!

Found a new flavor of potato chips to like. My current favorite is the garden salsa sun chips. This new one is dorito collisions- zesty taco and chipotle ranch.

How many days of school do you have left? That school is nutty! Schools almost over & they can't wait to refurb the classes?!

I had a headache yesterday & it's back today. I just can't shake it. My little noisemaker isn't here, because Chris is home sick. I hope we're not coming down with a bug. I know it's silly but Chris is coughing & achy makes me worry about the pig flu!

We have 40 student days + one professional development day in early June = 41 more days of work. I can't tell you why they are choosing NOW to do this work instead of in the summer.

We are up to 5 or 6 schools closed for swine flu. I don't know whether to believe the media that this is insane or what. There are 45 cases of it in NYC, but we have 8,000,000+ people in the five boroughs. That means that in the city alone there are 7,999,955+ people who DON'T have the swine flu. I don't really get it. I think it's a new strain, so nobody has built up resistance to it?? The kids at work are freaking out about it; and they know there have been deaths. I told them it was because they didn't get the medicine in time so they wouldn't be so scared. I also told them on 9/11 the the police are keeping us safe so there won't be another terrorist attack. (Yes, sometimes I white lie to them....)

Happy Anniversary! My dh is ALWAYS out of town for ours, unless it is a weekend so I know how you are feeling! It is kinda depressing. A few years back, it fell on a Saturday and we are so used to not celebrating it, that we forgot all about it until a week later when my MIL called to apologize about not calling.... of course I told her thanks, and not to worry about it... then informed a stunned DH....

I guess Orlando was too good to be true

Since Orlando is now out of the picture... I will now post what I was going to post but decided against...

To keep WDW your Happy Place... you don't want to live near it... I will never forget the first time I walked down Main Street and this was what was going through my mind... "Again... really, nothing ever changes at this place and I have homework to do, and I would rather be going out with my friends tonight... but no, I have to go to Disney World... Thunder Mt. is too lame... this place is god awful... why am I here, my friends are at the beach..."

We didn't go that often at that point. and I really didn't care for the beach... but you get the point... real life intrudes a lot more when you are going back to your own house in the evening..we went maybe once every year... (one year Epcot, next MK) I can promise you that my age ended in teen... but early in the teens. Now that I live so far away, and don't see it daily, I love it when I am there... and get to escape like the normal people I hope you get your answer tomorrow!!!!

Lorie... wow! I am so happy the little boy moved so you aren't in pain anymore, at least in the sciatica way... when is your ultrasound again? I hope you love your closet when it is done...


My sister is having another ultrasound on Monday... they saw a shadow and need to rule out twins... she is almost 10 weeks along... I would love for her to have twins.. but that would be her worst nightmare.
