Message From Universal regarding Express Pass

These are attendance figures. The revenue report was posted here a while ago. If you search for it, I'm sure you will find it. It was also posted on the community board in one of the frequent bash Universal threads.

You also need to remember that these are percentage change figures from 2004 when Universal introduced the Mummy and attendance percentages were up higher than Disney.

Didn't know they'd had such a bumper year in 2004. Still think it's odd that revenue is up, despite attendance being down (or at least relatively), they've got to get their money somehow, if it's not through entrance fees, it must be via food/gifts/hotels etc. Still, it's good to hear that Universal are holding their own against Disney. We certainly are looking forwards to staying on site for a week in a few weeks time, thank goodness fotl access is still there for hotel guests!

when i first started dragging my 3 sons with me to universal, there was no express pass system.

when it was implemented, we never used the epp system. and in those days, we stayed off site.

we would start the parks in line before they even opened.

we never had issues of long lines. we moved around in the park and covered the entire parks and didn't miss a thing. we would use common sense and go opposite of the crowds.

when we started to stay on site, we enjoyed the fotl but that was not the reason we would stay on site.

it just made it a total and perfect vacation in doing so.

i know this is a hot topic here but just wanted to throw my thoughts in as the parks are doable without the epp system.
but, only if you start early, eat before or after the crowds and go opposite of the crowds.

gotta have a plan in order to accomplish this.
