Remember when I said I was mixing pop with cow drink? (milk and soda) Well that's the formula for a poor man's Egg Cream. The Egg Cream is a very popular beverage in Brooklyn. All the local soda fountain diners serve them, and they are not gross.

Actually, the main ingredients for a proper egg cream are soda water, chocolate syrup, and milk. Quite yummy. Give it a try. Who knows? You may get to like it. :teeth:

Ok, I have to tell you that is pretty nasty!! :crazy2:

Rootbeer Float = delicious

Egg Cream = nasty

Thanks for the personalized thread though, I did enjoy that!! :flower:

OMG That Is So Revolting!!!!! :crazy2: But Intresting Thread

My Dad loves egg creams!!!! I always found them kinda nasty. I had one when I was growing up in New Jersey. Maybe New Yorkers make them better!
LOL. I'll stick with root beer floats thank you very much.
Or better yet......birch beer floats!
Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

Notice that the thread is titled "Message for PixieBella", but in my typical fashion, I have to butt in and be nosey :rotfl2:

I have never heard of an egg cream, but then again, I'm not from the East coast. It doesn't sound so tasty, but at least it's got chocolate  going for it!

Um, isn't Georgia on the East Coast? Granted, its the south-east coast, so you probably would never have heard of egg creams. Do a google search for "egg cream receipe", and you'll get some good variations on them.

Uh, yes it is in the East, though I would consider it more "Southern" than "Eastern", but that's just me :rotfl2:

Granted, I do live in GA, but I'm here courtesy of the US Army (my DH is a soldier). I'm definitely not here by choice (though it is cool being 7 hrs away from WDW :earsgirl: ).

Boy, I loved that show!

"we're gonna make our dreams come true...doin' in our way!"

best. theme song. ever.

Anyways back on topic!! I did try to have a milk and pepsi this morning. Here's some photographic evidence...

So what did I think about it? It was a weird amalgam of cream and bubbles. In short...I really don't feel too good right now. This California boy can't take it! (I drank the whole thing for ya'll too!)

Cheers, and if we ever have a Dis meet...you'll never, ever get me to drink another egg cream!

:rotfl: Alright I must admit I have been following this thread :goodvibes
I sure was not going to say anything about how weird this concoction is. Especially since I have weird eating habits at times too...say, dipping my PB&J in chocolate milk (everyday delicacy...for 25 years). Or, when I want to spice up my PB&J, I add some Fritos and smush down the sandwich! Very tasty treat.

But back on track, I think it is outstanding that the DIS people feel the need to go ahead and try new things, like the MPECs :earseek: And Fly, you just can't take a pic of the ingredients, we need to see you actually CHUGGING down a glass full of those MPECs :)

Too bad I don't like Pepsi or I might have tried...

Fly, you took one for the team - thank you for letting us live vicariously through your (not-so-good) egg cream experience. Hope you feel better! :wave2:

Actually chugging it down? I'm glad I took this video then! (Excuse my horrible appearance...I'm still waking up...and the PMEC didn't help)

Click here to watch 'Egg Cream...Chug! Chug! Chug!'

So there! (the cup was not full because my video wasn't taking until after I had finished half the durn thing!)

ROFL :rotfl:
Well then, Fly my good man, like cami said- thanks for taking one for the team! :cheer2:

And was that slurping I heard? Methinks thou doth protest too much!
