I found one!!!!!!!

It's a 2 hour drive but Simon is going to take me tomorrow after I finish work at 1pm!

Unfortunately Julie can't come coz she would need a dogsitter and Simon isn't coming in to the shop, so it's a shame there won't be another pair of eyes there for me but still!

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey, now I finally get to try the beast on and see if it was worth it all!

I'm doubting they'll allow me to take piccies but I can try and get a sneaky one on my mobile through a mirror somehow perhaps.... "oooh I must read this text message while I'm in front of the mirror trying the dress on" yeah... that'll work

Yes I couldnt take any pics in any of the shops here till I paid a deposit and then I could only take pics on the one I paid for

Wooohoooooo!

I managed to track down the notorious dress and lo and behold the size 12 they had in fit perfectly!

She looks at the tag and reiterates the price quoted on the phone - £840, but then says "Oooh there's a little pink tag here, I think this means we can sell you this sample at half price"
Off she pops to check with the Manager....

And the rest is, as they say, history!

Unfortunately I had the dress off before I decided to make the purchase, but here it is in all it's glory:

They are going to store it free with it being a stock dress and I can't see any faults with it, I checked with it being a sample. I need to go back, just for the length altering really, so the shoe hunt is now on!

I am overly prepared but now I no longer have to worry about the quest for the dress, hurrah!

It really was! It was so bizarre that my main gripe with buying the dress in the UK was that it was half the price in the US, and then she turned around and told me that - fate!

I hope you can find it or something similar, it seems Maggie are releasing some for the new season with a similar neckline....

Thank you, I am so happy I finally found one and that when I tried it on it was just right, I would've been disappointed if it hadn't suited me, but at least I could have ticked it off the list and moved on...

Touche indeed - I may not have stolen your silver shoes exactly, but it has led me to think more about using my silver ballroom dancing shoes for the job - we obviously inspire each other! And at least we're also together in the very early dress purchasing stakes!!
