Merry time merchandise

Hi
just came back from my Nov 11 th cruise
got to say I was expecting more Xmas merchandise not a lot of variety a lot of Jersey no hoodies at all
not choices of tshirts ..
was hoping for xmas theme dcl ears ..maybe a tote bag …
maybe it’s just that stuff hadn’t arrived yet but got to say I was a bit dissapointed

DCL merchandise was very lacking for Halloween on the High Seas and Very Merrytime….

We came with our wallets wide open and ready to purchase.

We spent lots of money on those cruises, but not in the gift shops. Pretty much nothing was appealing to us.

This was really the only thing i noted in my comment card. I was looking to spend money on general merch on our HOTHS wish cruise, and there was nothing remotely interesting. tons and tons and tons of jewelry, but basic hoodies/sweater/shirts few and far between.

I've been on several cruises in last couple of years and the merchandise selection has been terrible. The characters on shirts look like anime drawings and everything looks big and sloppy.

I hoped to buy DH a nice DCL polo shirt; there was one choice and it was lacking most sizes. I hoped to find something for each grandchild since they were going on a cruise and selection was awful. I hoped to find a nice t-shirt for me but I'm not wearing over-sized garish shirts.

And all those jersey shirt granted some might love those but for one I don’t care for those and it seems there was a lot of those
but please dcl do sweatshirts and hoodies maybe totes …cute beach bags ….

i was quite dissapinted ..

I complained last month that the fitting on the t shirts etc are really bad. The shoulder/ arm holes are off to me. If i saw the long tag inside I moved on.

My husband wishes they would bring back the nicer polo shirts In nice calm colours and silkier material ?

We are on the Fantasy next Saturday sounds like I will save some money.

Rats! We're on the 11/25 Fantasy as well and I told DH yesterday that I intended on buying all of us some cute shirts.

We did the Very Merry last November and noticed the lack of themed items. The VM we did precovid had shirts, sweaters and lots of holiday merch. Last year it was a ship ornament, and a couple other smaller things for the house. I don't even remember seeing an adult shirt. Disney is really losing touch with what we want.

for one the jerseys I don’t care at all for those if they keep only those instead of sweatshirt and hoodies I’ll save lots of money

I would love to see some hoodies, but I have to admit I am a Spirit Jersey fan. I have 4 DCL and 6 or 7 regular Disney but those have gotten stupid expensive and the material gets thinner and thinner. I have to be 100% in love with it to even start contemplating getting one, but I have so many now it is easy to say no.

One of the problems I ran into last year on the ship was finding shirts in XXL. I am 6'4" 250 pounds. I am in between XL and XXL so I always buy XXL just to be sure.
I only like t shirt with the bulk of the printing on the back of the shirt and a small logo on the front left side. There were not a lot of choices.

The one shirt I liked was only on the sales floor in sizes other than XXL. I asked a cast member if they had any XXL in the back and he told me to come back in a hour. I did and he found one in the back stock room so I bought it.

I never tried it on while we were on the ship and when I got home and put it on it was a little tight, I guess this a good reason to loose a little weight.

I think this proves our point.... Not a lot of items and pretty lame in my opinion. As @4 mickey said, spirit jersey, no sweat shirt, a pretty fugly t-shirt, kid stuff and limited household type items. The magnet is pretty cool, but also large and single use.

Don't get me wrong, I get that it is a very short season and with only 5 ships they buy for what they can store and sell. Otherwise it ends up at property control in January and cast members buy it for 1/2 the price or less. But a little more variety would be nice. I am a huge spirit jersey fan but EWE... way too busy. As others have said, I'll be saving money I guess not spending it on souvenirs.

I was on this cruise, they definitely had Christmas themed DCL ears. I actually bought then and then later returned them because I though they were kind of ugly, lol. I also definitely saw a spirit jersey and I'm pretty sure there was a Loungefly as well. Maybe a couple of other shirts?

Interesting, when I was on the Fantasy two weeks ago, there were plenty of merrytime spirit jerseys left throughout the whole sailing. I didn't check sizes to see if they were all one size, but there were plenty of them for sure . . .

It didn’t seem like there was a lot to begin with. There was no restock after this rack was sold.
