Merida from Brave to start Meet and Greets

I'm not changing it yet...I want to know if this is just temporary through the summer since that's all the announcement says. I won't be happy with that...especially since we can't afford to go during that time.
I'm hoping the skyway redo really is a Tangled area, and that R&F get moved there together.

I hope so too! I was happy to read that until I got to the "through summer' nonsense.

:lmao:
She may be Flynn's girl, but she's been known to get a little lovin' from Eric too. He's her second favorite so he's always on our must see list.

Completely :offtopic: but I LOVE this picture!!!! I think it's funny how only at WDW we will let random men kiss our children and think it's precious! Lol.

Edit: I'm not saying that the picture is off topic, I'm saying that my comment is. Sorry if it sounded otherwise!

Any chance they will move the M&G up a week or two? The second is our last day and I want to meet the bears! :p

Yes, especially since it seems they make all of their princesses speak in that loud squeaky voice that is reminiscent of teenagers on sitcoms int he 1950's. So damn annoying....

Yes!!! I was so annoyed when we met Belle and she spoke with a soft timid "princess" voice. Belle should speak with determination.

Tiana is actually my favorite. She seems the most real. Love her!

Really? Not in my opinion. Tiana and a southern NOLA accent when I meet her and it was not high pitched. Nor was the Belle or Sleeping beauty I meet. The Cinderella was a bit girl but for the most part the princess spoke just like their movie counterparts.

CAUTION:

This thread is nearly a month old, and contains misinformation about Rapunzel and Flynn.

AFAIK, FLYNN is NOT meeting guests at this time.

Rapunzel is meeting guests at a small location in MK's Town Square
(#16 on the map below.)

FYI - here's what Merida will look like in the park. They introduced her yesterday at a convention in Vegas:

Cool, thank you. :thumbsup2 I hope the CMs get her voice right as much as possible too.

Awesome!!!! Thanks for posting! :goodvibes

So, how long will the meet-and-greet for Merida be there? Will it go until Nov/Dec?

Any traction to the rumor we heard at MK Sunday...that Merida was meeting VERY sporadically in the International Gateway in Epcot? Anyone seen her??

This is a character training location, so yes. You cannot plan to it in any way, as the characters that appear there are completely unannounced.

We asked plenty a CM that day, and got these varying responses:

"Who?"
"I don't know who that is."
"Stroll by the Gateway throughout the day."
"Never heard of her."

And our last attempt at Guest Relations: "Yes, so you've heard our newest princess is out! Exciting, isn't? I'm not sure what time today at the Gateway, let me check." She came back looking like she got in trouble...which is when we stopped asking and looking for Merida, as we felt bad that us seeking something out for fun could get a CM in trouble, it wasn't worth it.

With that stated...why all the secretness? Does Disney just not want the new charcters to get overwhelmed and have a line of people? I can see that, and we would have stopped asking after the first CM we asked.

It seems like they'd want her interacting with regular guests for practice. The only people "in the know" seem to be the CMs (friends of her "friends") so that's who all the videos and photos are coming from.

Found a few videos of two different character actresses in the park:

** Haven't posted in some time but it seems all of the posts I did make are gone now so my post count isn't sufficient to post links

So here's a question I had when Rapunzel/Flynn started their meet and greets prior to the movie's release, and now I have for Merida and Brave.

Have the CMs who portray Merida received an advance screening of the movie? Or are they going off "cliff notes" given to them at least until the film is officially released? Since the public hasn't seen the movie yet either, I guess they won't have to answer specific questions from visitors in reference to the film, so maybe they don't have to see the film ahead of time. Just curious.

Of course, the other reponse is: "What do you mean CMs who "portray"?? That's the real Merida! She doesn't need cliffnotes about her life." And I'm prefectly fine with that explanation as well. :goodvibes;)
