Hi guys. Looking for some help from my fellow Disney junkies. Hopefully someone out there can help.

I've been looking for a Merida dress since the beginning of December with no luck. They are sold out everywhere. Called Disney Parks Merchandising and they said the ones in the Parks are sold out and are not on reorder at this time. Called Disney Store and got a canned "we don't know what is on order but you can keep checking the website daily" answer. I've looked on EBay and the only ones available are a minimum of $125.

Looking for a size 10 but not having any luck. Anyone out there know where I can get one without having to pay scalper type prices?

Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

Yup, I saw them at Target, too. But they're the 4-6x size, not up to size 10.

I would try etsy for a cool dress. I have seen a few that are in the $60 price range that are well made and cotton.

Oh darn! Sorry, I didn't realize Targets were only in smaller sizes.

Chimilady's Etsy advice is great. There are some amazing custom made outfits at fair prices!

I've purchased several Disney Parks costumes/dresses from this ebay seller Here's a recent Merida dress she sold. More than once I've contacted her via Contact Member and arranged a transaction off of ebay *ask for the product and size I'd like - it's been fantastic each time.

Thanks everyone for the ideas! I saw some stuff at Target and Toys R Us but the sizes aren't what I need.

I emailed the EBay seller too. A shot in the dark I know but worth the try.

My DD has an appt at BBB on the 26th and really wants to be Merida for the day so I'm trying my best to get her what she wants. :)

Have you tried Party City or online costume shops? Not sure if those places only have small sizes as well.

Hey,

I just ordered some stuff from the Disney store and they had two dresses on sale. I think they were regularly like $45 and they were on sale for $25. I didn't check sizes or anything. One was the dark forest green and then one was pale green and they called it the "formal" dress??

I hope this might be what you are looking for...

If not, maybe Etsy??

Have you checked your local Disney Store recently? I work at the Disney Store and we just got the new style costumes in - they aren't doing the green Merida dress but we have the light blue one!

Our old style costumes sold out way before Christmas.

This is who I use too and she is great! I've never had any problems and my DD loves the dresses.

I just looked on the Disney website and the Merida dress is adorable...but only in size 2/3.

Disneystores that DID have these dresses left over (and on sale) have probably pulled these dresses and will be transferring what is left to the nearest Disney outlet store in the next couple of weeks.

At least, that is what my store is doing. I will look and see what we have left in Merida. I wish we had a way to look up on our system which stores had a particular item left in stock. Someday!

That would be great. I'm not optimistic though. You'd think that they would be ordering them quickly since they were such a hot item.

On Disneystore.com there is a new Merida dress in New Arrivals that goes up to size 10.

I do have some sewing ability and wasn't exactly thrilled with the costumes I'd seen out for Merida and that is what my daugther wanted to be for Halloween. She is also a 14/16 so I wasn't gonna find a generic one that would fit her either so I made her this:

We already had the props we needed as we do medieval reenactments and to say she loves her outfit is an understatement!
