Yet another newbie question.....

What sort of merchandise do they have on the cruise? Do they have sweatshirts, T-shirts, magnets, coffee mugs, etc?

How about on Castaway Cay?

Also, is it cheaper to buy alcohol on the ship or in Nassau?

Thanks,

They have wonderful merchandise on the ship, including pins that can only be purchased on DCL!!! To list everything would take forever, but they have wonderful clothes items (from t-shirts, tanks, sweatshirts), to merchandise, to kids items, to jewellery... wow, I have to start saving!

I know many people grumble about the prices, especially for the clothes, but there is one thing to keep in mind. This is Disney merchandise, and it lasts forever!!! I have a t-shirt from 1997 (granted it's huge as that was the style I liked when I was 13) that is in impecable condition... and when you're 13, you're not thinking about keeping my clothes in good condition.

While the prices come as a shock at first, just keep in mind the quality, and it all evens out!

Hope that helps

Does anyone know if they have special DCL autograph books (for character autographs)? I had thought that the DDs could use what was left of their WDW autograph books, but I looked them over and they're pretty full! There is something kinda special about having one for each trip anyway...

There is not a separate DCL autograph book. The ones they sell in the parks are the same ones they sell on the ship.

We took our own alcohol in our suitcases and put it in our fridge in the cabin. A case of 24 cans fits in a suitcase and so does 12 cans of diet coke! Our friends took vodka and ordered orange juice from room service! It worked out great. We did that two years in a row - no problems at all.

I found that the liqour prices were "much" cheaper on ship than in Nassau (with just a few cheaper) I bought a bottle of bombay saphire for $7 in Nassau it was $22 (I get it at home for $17!
we brought our own bottles also as to save a little:$: the only trouble with buying on ship is you can not get it untill the last night.
