I completely forgot one thing that happened when we were waiting for our table to O'Hanas in March. My DS11 and I went into the gift shop and walking by some breakables, he must have brushed against them. So one fell and broke and of course, I was mortified! I offered to pay for the item, but the CM's were so nice and refused to let me pay. I did buy a pair of earrings at the store.

When the whole family went to Disney 5 years ago, my nephew4 knocked a drum off the shelf in Morroco and right or wrong, we all kind of evacuated, LOL. My son told my nephew(now 9) after we came back this time that there was a "wanted" poster in Epcot with his picture on it! LOL

Anyone else's kids break something and what was the result?

That is pretty much standard procedure at WDW. If something is broken, they chalk it up to an accident and let it go. However, it makes me cringe to see the things people let their kids do in the store. Not long ago, I was in World Of Disney at DTD. It was the area of the store where all of the snow globes, statues and ceramic mugs are. Two boys were tossing a basketball back and forth. They missed several times and it was just a matter of luck that nothing was broken. I had to leave the store. It was making me so nervous to watch this. I also see little kids playing with the glass ornaments at Days Of Christmas all the time. Not a good idea.
