Hi! My name is Chelsea and I just got accepted into the Disney College Program for Spring 2012 I'm extremely excited and nervous for this journey to begin! I got placed in Merchandise and hope to be placed in Magic Kingdom. Don't be afraid to say hello! What is your role and where would be your ideal place to work at? What are you most excited about?

I wouldn't think so! I was kind of wondering that too, but your location is entirely different and there's probably more guest interaction are you applying?

I'm getting there January 30! It's late compared to what i've seen for people's arrival dates :/ but most convenient for me!

where did you work? And how was your overall experience?

I worked at goofys candy company at downtown Disney my overall experience was great. As merchandise you can pick up shifts almost everywhere. As for the program, it's what you make of it. I loved it because I went out with roommates and coworkers and just had fun!

really? did you have a lot of guest interaction? It wasn't my first choice (it was my second), with attractions being my first choice because it would have been something different. And i've worked in merchandise before so i did want something different. But i'm just happy I got in I can't wait and I'm already wondering what it'll be like

The interaction is amazing! Think about it...you are selling Disney products. The average vacationer spends a TON of money on souvies!!!! I worked at World Of Disney and it was awesome. There are so many opportunties to work in every resort,park and waterpark!!!!

YAY. you just made me more excited, if that's even possible!! and getting to pick up shifts in other parks? sounds amazing! oh, since this is your second program, how did you get your roommate during your first program? Random, roommate matching on DCP website, or something else?

I actually did the CareerStart program and there were only about 50 people who were accepted. Most of us were friends from the FB group. But it was alot better because there were a small number of people from that group. We showed up together and just happened to be roomies! Two years later...they are still my best friends to this day..

oh that's convenient haha the problem is that theres hundreds of people this time! but, i absolutely love the part about you guys being best friends still, thats sweet
