i am trying to figure out what is best for my family of five. i am leaning towards the meal deal but i need to make sure it is best deal for us. i went to universal website looking for prices and stuff but didnt see anything to help me decide. if anyone can help me it would be great.
i need to know what places honor the meal deal at both parks.
i also was wondering if say we are in line to get our food are we allowed to stock up as much as we can eat so we dont have to run back in line.
also does the meal deal include drinks throughout day or just the meals? thanks

We tried the meal deal once and hated it. First the restaurants don't open until something like 1030 or 11 and they close about an hour before park closes. You are allowed to get one meal each time you go through the line and the lines get to be a little long and slow so you end up not going back through the line.

Alternatives: If you have AAA you show your card and get 10% off. You can also bring snacks into the park. Also if you get a refillable mug, you get refills on soda (whenever you go to universal even if it is 10 years from now) at a cheaper rate. If you decide to do this, make sure you buy one that is easy to handle. They do sell some bulky ones. Another thing is if you go to burger digs at IOA, they have a toppings bar and I usually eat a lot of those to fill me up (on my chicken sandwich).
