Mentally Preparing: A Focker, A Croc & Waldo hit POFQ! Trip Report Link is UP!

So last night, in my boredom, I decided to get my vacation clothes together. Yeah, I know I still have 3 months to go
You wouldnt make it in my house. I was still shopping on the day I started to pack. I did however just take me 2 days to pack. Maybe me needs a spreadsheet afterall.:confused3
Somehow, I bought more than I thought. Which is a good thing, eh?
never to much, just sayin'!:thumbsup2
That brings my total CROCS purchase to 11!!
Ok,I have 0 pairs.I just cant get over the fact that I personally (JMO)dont find them cute.Although the capri ones do look cute and comfy. Does the comfort factor outweigh the not so cute factor? They look like your foot would get all sweaty in there, do they??They also look kind of klunky or heavy, like I might fall over with them on,
So now I just need to hit Old Navy for some long tanks
I just got some myself.
He asks me to make sure the trunks are equipped with a catcher. What does that mean? :confused3 I laughed so hard when he told me that "catchers" are the mesh panty things attached to the inside of the shorts!
Ya learn somethin' new everyday. Never had a clue that it had a name!.Thanks for the info.
Basically she's telling you your a pain in her butt!" Can you believe that?? :rotfl2:
That missy has some attitude!!You have to be a pain in the butt just cause your lookin for a good deal. Well I guess I'm a pain in the butt too!!

Somehow, I bought more than I thought. Which is a good thing, eh? ;) I ended up with 14 tops and 12 shorts and 2 swim suits, & 3 pairs of Crocs Athens. I've got 14 complete outfits, if you will. I need 2 more tank/cami's to end up with 16 complete outfits. I think I'm set. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:
So you won't be doing any laundry then :rotfl2:

Well whaddayaknow... they had them. I used google check out for an additional $10 off and my total came to $17. :woohoo: Score!!! That brings my total CROCS purchase to 11!!
11 Crocs did I read that right  Are you taking all of them to WDW? Will you need extra luggage allowance? :rotfl:

"catchers" are the mesh panty things attached to the inside of the shorts! :rotfl2:
Oh that's what they're called :rotfl2:

So if you see this online or anything, I've already checked on it. So you don't have to call me
OMG Tracy she knows you so well :rotfl:

Catchers are very important...you learn that when you work with kindigartners who choose not to wear unders and then they sit directly in front of you all cross-legged...
:scared:

Just a quick translation question, are tanks sleeveless T-shirts?

This is a tank and it happens to be from old navy

Hope this helps.I'm a visual person, not good at details and describing
Speaking of clothing. My DH and I are huge Turnbull & Asser clothes junkies. We have a store here in NYC. Not the same experience as the London one, but it does the trick just fine until we get to Lon again.

Thanks, we just call them both vest tops, a tank is a sleeveless jumper normally with a lovely ;) pattern on, I couldn't see Tracy walking round Disney in one of those :lmao:

OMG Tracy! I am sitting here at work taking a break when I read this! I am busting out laughing right now! Men really do come up with the weirdest explanations for things don't they? :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
:rotfl2: Sorry! I know I was busting a gutt when he told me. Well, after I did this face: :scared:
Catchers are very important...what if Carlos was sitting criss-cross applesauce on the ground somewherez and gave all the desparate housewives a show???
Just sayin'...catchers are important!
I have to whole heartedly agree with you, Goof. Only because I have been flashed by a man wearing trunks sans a "catcher". :scared1:
This whole post is too much!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
:lmao:
You wouldnt make it in my house. I was still shopping on the day I started to pack. I did however just take me 2 days to pack. Maybe me needs a spreadsheet afterall.:confused3
Oh, I do that, too. Even with my trusty spreadsheet, some things are just better left until the last minute. I change my mind about things always at the 11th hour! :confused3

I only have the Athens style, which is just like a flip-flop. I personally don't like anyother style. I haven't seen any of the new styles, except the Capri and the Mary Jane. I'm a flip flop girl, so the Athens are perfect for me. I can walk all day at DLand with those bad boys on! :thumbsup2 When I get my MJ's, I'll let you know honestly how they look and feel.

So you won't be doing any laundry then :rotfl2:
You'd think, right? :sad2: Wrong...only because we all change & shower 2 or 3 times a day. So, I think after 4 or 5 days, I'll have to do laundry.

11 Crocs did I read that right  Are you taking all of them to WDW? Will you need extra luggage allowance? :rotfl:
I have 1 luggage with everyone's shoes!! :lmao: I'm only taking my lime, blue, & black Athens, & Brown MJ's, DH will only pack 2 pairs of Vans (1 brown, 1 black) and 1 pool flip flops and Maddie will take 3 pairs of Crocs & 1 pair flip flops and Evan 2 pairs of CROCS. I just re-read this....someone please tell me they bring that many shoes! :lmao:

OK I had a count up we all wear our trainers (sneakers) on the flight then we each take 2 other pairs (flip flops, walking sandals) then this year we're also taking pool shoes for BB so we're going to take more than you :faint:

WOW!! That is a whole lotta luggage. There is no way you could make it with us. I told Jennifer only one checked bag and one carry on!!! If she could, she would be like you and just bring her entire wardrobe!!!

I had a suitcase for just mine and Maddie's.:rotfl:

Tracy,
That is A LOT of shoes. I'm a flop gal, too. I'm thinking of the Croc flops....are they going to make me happy??? DH wants to get me a pair, but I've been to, well...cheap. He just got a $10 coupon from Dick's, so I'm thinking I might go for it.

How many shoes does Waldo bring????:rotfl:

No sneakers???:confused3 No heels?

Hmmmm....maybe it's me that brings too many shoes...:rolleyes1

Yes. But when worn by a male aren't they called wife beaters?

Uh, well, I think that may just be called that here in the South.....actually maybe just in the Carolinas!:lmao:

OK I had a count up we all wear our trainers (sneakers)

Ha! Jo is translating English! While on the subject, we call them tennis shoes (actually pronounced tinna shoes......not sure anyone in southwest VA actually PLAYS tennis):rotfl:

And yes, a carbonated beverage is a POP here.....not soda.......not Coke......
AND the number 10 is correctly pronounced TIN, much to the dismay of Hooked on Phonics teachers everywhere.

Uh.......what thread are we on here?

Let's see....any soft drink is referred to as a "coke: or soft drink. Maybe we consume so many hard drinks that soft drink means rum and coke without the rum. :confused3 If you said "soda" you got a very strange look as in, you didn't say that word, period, unless you were referring to club soda or baking soda. Pop is another name for daddy or hit...I popped him upside his head. Oh and no suckers here; we have lollipops. And I think suckering or top sucker is something you do to baccker (tobacco). Oh yes, and we wear tenni shoes and blow our noses with kleenex. Ten is certainly tin or even ti-en. I shore (sure) grew up in a snotty town.:snooty:

Ok Tracy, now that everyone knows how to speak Eastern NC English, you can have your thread back!

Wait, wait... my turn. Let's see here in Southern California.... you don't order a COKE, it's a DIET COKE. Wanna a cocktail? It's Rum and Diet Coke or a Coors Light. You don't say POP in reference to hit, you call it a shank "I shanked him" or would that be a stab? Hmmm... people don't hit here, they shank 'em and ask questions later. Oh, and only tourists and seniors wear tennis shoes or sneakers, locals wear flips flops, or skater shoes or if your live on the west side or OC, you wear designer heels with everything. :rotfl2:

And now back to our regularly scheduled trip report....:lmao:

Too funny! I couldn't survive without my tenni shoes!

I have 1 luggage with everyone's shoes!!

Awesome! :worship: you are my hero, LOL!

And :rotfl: about the "catcher"!

Loving this PTR, can't wait to hear what happens when you get there!

And yes, its Coke here too, even diet coke, LOL. And we're always "fixin" to do things...when I moved to Boston for school they never understood me when I said this...they were like, what are you fixing? ;) But I never could get over that they called sandwiches "grinders". Too graphic, IMO. :)

Sorry for the OT digression, back to your TR now...lovin it! popcorn::

reference to hit, you call it a shank "I shanked him"
I kind of like that----"i shanked him" .....ps never heard of that refernence before
or skater shoes or if your live on the west side or OC
What the heck is a skater shoe??Are they those heely thing(the sneakers with wheels)

Heres my 2 cents with some NJ lingo

tenni shoes= sneakers
pop/shank=smack
coke/pop=diet coke
alcoholic beverage=cocktails
cigarettes=butts as is "go smoke a butt"
suckers=lollipop
kleenex=tissue( to us kleenex is a brand name)
Oh and like CA in NJ people will wear ANYTHING designer especially shoes/heels no matter how ugly and obnoxious they look
