Mentally Preparing: A Focker, A Croc & Waldo hit POFQ! Trip Report Link is UP!

Like...I thought scrunchies were so back...and the wienie roll??? Well, I had one of those for dinner...

As soon as we pile out of the van, Waldo takes off. Talk about record time. He has no idea where he is going, all he knows is he's gone. :sad2:
So it's not just at WDW then :rotfl2:

I spy this.... I don't know what she was thinking.
thomas003.jpg

It's very bizarre.
That is just so funny :rotfl:

Awww look at Maddies little face she looks so pleased to be there!

Train ride over, we head to have our photo taken with Sir Topham Hat. Strangely, Evan was not frightened by this weird character at all.
We call him the fat controller over here guess thats not very politically correct :confused3 :rotfl2:

We're ready to leave now and Maddie decides to skip (I guess) ahead of us. I had to video her, so you could see my poor baby really trying to skip. It's more of a cross between a jump/hop scotch/skip move. In any case, very entertaining! :thumbsup2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqKLRt7_X24
Oh no Maddies staring role and the link doesn't work says something about it being a private video :confused3

DL Mama...
I love that pic of hawaiian scrunchie lady:rotfl: It looks like her top is backwards
It looks like your kids had a great time!

I am trying to see your video of Maddie, but it is saying that it is private.

OMG! scrunchies, I had them in every color and pattern, I think I put them out with my acid wash jeans and members only jacket.:lmao: Would have loved to seen the front, your description is hilarious:rotfl:

That Thomas stuff is outrageous, I remember years ago when my now 17 yo nephew loved that stuff, what a fortune I spent on that stuff, including buying stuff at Epcot at that toy store in England, what was I thinking.

That way I can tell myself, the mirror adds 10 pounds....10x3....it's all good! :thumbsup2:

Is that FBM? Fuzzy Bikini Math???:confused3

OMG!!! I have a great story to tell you about my halter top suit!! It's not for the boards, so I'll have to tell you over a Lapu!!! You'll die when you hear it! :lmao:

Jo and I will hold you to that!!:rotfl:

Let me just say this.... When I get my spreadsheet done, and I pack everything up, I pack my spreadsheet with the clothes and when I arrive at my destination, I put all the outfits together, per the spreadsheet. Then I have everything together and there's no trying to remember what goes with what. Nothing annoys me more than wearing the wrong top with the wrong shorts, because said top goes with both shorts, but both shorts don't go with another top.

Sounds to me like you just don't bring enough clothes...Shop a bit more. That could solve the entire problem!

Oh my God....I just realized..... I AM crazy!

They say the first step to solving a problem is admitting that you have one...:rolleyes1

I love you just the way you are though!!!

I do that too. See you're only 1 step away from Tracy-crazy!

...Don't push me 'cause I'm close to the edge...
...I'm tryin' not to lose my head...

Jo did post that! She also claims SHE doesn't eat it, just other crazy Brits do! Uh huh, Jo, we believe you! :rolleyes1

Just thinking about that picture makes me sick...:scared:

Let me begin our day......

We live about 1.5 hours from Fillmore, which is where this Thomas shenanigans in being held. We get up, have breakfast and we are on the road by 10am. As we drive through Downtown Los Angeles, about 20 mins. north of us, Maddie exclaims, "Mom!!! Mom!!! There's New York city!!" :sad2: My poor sheltered children. They've never been to LA, we try to avoid it at all costs! We continue through the hills of Hollywood, where Evan exclaims, "Wow, wookit those mountains!!!" Those, my dear son, are meger little hills filled with phoney cleavage and Hollywood wannabes. You want to see mountains? We're going in the wrong direction. Maybe another day. :confused3

Hmmmm....you guys really should get out more...:rolleyes1

We make it up to Fillmore in record time, 1 hour. As soon as we pile out of the van, Waldo takes off. Talk about record time. He has no idea where he is going, all he knows is he's gone. :sad2: It starts. This little trip is a prerequisite of his Florida shenanigans, of which we are very familiar.

:lmao: I knew that was coming!! Maybe UtahMama can lend you Norah's leash for August?:confused3 Ohhhh...I know...go to Petco and get one of the retractable ones!! You could have fun for HOURS with that!!:rotfl:

So we grab some lunch in the make shift food court of hot dog stands, pizza tents, and whoo hoo.... Chinese fast food. Nothing says good ol' American grub like Chinese fast food! After lunch we hit the gift shop, much to DH's shagrin. $130 later, we emerge from said gift shop with 1 small bag of Thomas merchandise. Yes, 1 small bag. Buying 1 Thomas train costs a small fortune. They're raking it in hand over fist in there! And we only lost Waldo 3 times in the giant merchandise tent! We get in line for our train ride with about 45 mins to spare. So I do what I do best.... people watch. Of course I have VERY dark sunglasses, so no one knows what I am doing. :cool2: Bwhahaha!!!

Man - I'm sooo glad that Michael's little Thomas phase lasted all of about a month or two...It's sooooo expensive...and I'm sorry - I can't stand that train...just the music makes me hostile... I've lost all respect for George Carlin now too...

I spy this.... I don't know what she was thinking.
thomas003.jpg

It's very bizarre. First of all, the red scrunchie. I thought those things were outlawed?? No?? Well, they should be! Then the addition of the red Hawaiian flowers? We're not at a luau for Petes sake! I couldn't get a picture of her front, 'cause that would be rude, but let me just say she wadded all her hair into a big curl that hung over her left brow. It looked like a big brown weenie roll. Very bizarre, I couldn't help staring. Thank goodness for dark glasses.

Two words...Camera Phone...now I'm going to be wondering how weird the front looked!! Was she dressed kind of like a yodeler from the Swiss Alps??:confused3

Train ride over, we head to have our photo taken with Sir Topham Hat. Strangely, Evan was not frightened by this weird character at all.
thomas006.jpg

I'll be honest...the Sir Topham Hat character always weirded me out...he's almost as scary as clowns are!

Oh man...it says it's private...what's up wit dat???:confused3

Been out of comish for a few..BUT I'M Back! I have caught up here...but nowhere else;) Got a lot ahead of me!

OMG! You got tagged while I was away...WOW! How fun is that!:cool1:

LOVE IT! You did a great job pokyin around them fartsy artsy boards...you good student you!
Yesterday I made my annual pilgrimage to the mall to buy a new swimsuit. I hate swimsuit shopping. I would rather gouge my eyes out with a used spork from KFC! :scared:

:rotfl: Me too! I would much prefer to buy myself a body bag to cover up... I would just poke my head out the top!

To be truthful, I didn't really have intentions of purchasing a new suit, but they were 50% off and I couldn't pass up that deal. I don't know if it's the same around the country, but if you don't buy a swimsuit by early May, then forget it!

Not here...we are just warming up fo the year! Our -50% hit in end of July/Aug.

Oh and don't even get me started with the tops that have a decorative ring between the breasticles. Or the cute little belts under the breasticles. What is that for?? When I tried the suit with the decorative ring, it looked like I had a 3rd nipple. A trippy nippy, if you will! When I tried on the suit with the beneath the chest area belt, the belt disappeared beneath the girls!!
We now have trippy nippy's & breasticles! Maybe the belt was to hold them breasticles up?:confused3

Ok, so I may or may not have mentioned that we were going to "A Day out with Thomas" on Saturday. I have 2 words for this Day out with Thomas. RIP OFF! I spent $120 for tickets on train that goes one way for 10 mins and then goes backward the next 10 mins through some veggie fields. Yawn!!

Now I'm happy we didn't do this!

Ok, so Evan was simply enchanted with the whole thing, so it was worth it in that aspect.

Ya! At least he loved it!:cutie:

:rotfl: It is time to get those kidlets out a bit Mamma!

Did she have tevas and socks on too?;)

I couldn't get a picture of her front, 'cause that would be rude

Awww come on!

I couldn't view it...but I bet it is great! My ds can't skip or hop on one of his feet. It was the only thing he 'failed' at the K screening...oh well, such is life!

Glad to be back...I am off to catch up some more!

OMG!!! I forgot to say this.....

I went to Walmart today(which is a tough pill for me to swallow, as I loath that store) and they sell Clear Laminate paper!!! By the roll!!!! So I bought me some 43.2 square feet of laminate happiness!!! Time to laminate that itinerary!!!

Good call. I did that last trip. Well, the December trip I mean. And punched a hole in the corner of them and put them on a key ring...I have V to thank for that idea, but it worked GREAT!!:thumbsup2

Think it's not too early to laminate? Will there be no more changes? That always makes me nervous when I get to the point that I have to say "Ok, that's it. No more changes"...then I go into panic mode and re-analyze it all and make at least one more change...just in case...:rolleyes1

Ok, I'm going to work on some more Pre-Trip...Later!

We call him the fat controller over here guess thats not very politically correct :confused3 :rotfl2:

:lmao: Yeah, he's the Fat Controller here too. I think they tried to change it when they made that godawful Thomas movie a few years back. I've always loved the character (my eldest was obsessed with him and now 'Alice' adores him too) and Ringo Starr's narration but that movie they made was so bad.

 For a second I thought that was Larry David - not the scrunchie woman  - the guy with the sunglasses. Can't imagine what he'd be doing at a Thomas the Tank thingie but I love that guy. As for scrunchie woman, she's like the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival personified!

Great pics Tracy! I love the video of Maddie skipping - aw, what a cutie! :goodvibes

REALLY BIG RIP OFF to be exact. We go every year 2 or 3 times. We travel to PA. 3hrs each way so we have to spend the weekend in Thomas hell!!!The boys LOOOOVE it.
My poor sheltered children. They've never been to LA, we try to avoid it at all costs!

For Real??Never to LA??No mommie and Maddie day on Robertson Blvd?
Waldo takes off.
At least hes consistant!
After lunch we hit the gift shop, much to DH's shagrin. $130 later, we emerge from said gift shop with 1 small bag of Thomas merchandise. Yes, 1 small bag. Buying 1 Thomas train costs a small fortune.
our boys dont like to share the trains, they will share all the accessories but not the trains so we have 2 sets of wooden and 2 sets of die cast take along. It is soooo expensive. Thank goodness for Target and the take along trains there.
So I do what I do best.... people watch. Of course I have VERY dark sunglasses, so no one knows what I am doing. :cool2: Bwhahaha!!!
I spy this.... I don't know what she was thinking.
thomas003.jpg
OH MY!!!!
what the heck is that. It looks like something is growing out of her head:scared1:
Dh and I are mad people watchers, those Thomas events attract all kinds of crazies:eek:

That video of Maddie is so precious:) I give her an A for effort!! she is so cute hopping along.

Like...I thought scrunchies were so back...and the wienie roll??? Well, I had one of those for dinner...
You're so goofy, Jenn! :rotfl:
So it's not just at WDW then
Nope, it's any open area.

"Oh give me a home, where poor Waldo can roam......

We call him the fat controller over here guess thats not very politically correct
He reminds me of a fat Monopoly man!

DL Mama...
I love that pic of hawaiian scrunchie lady It looks like her top is backwards
Seriously, though the pictures don't do it justice. I soooo wished I had gotten her front!

OMG! scrunchies, I had them in every color and pattern, I think I put them out with my acid wash jeans and members only jacket Would have loved to seen the front, your description is hilarious:

That Thomas stuff is outrageous, I remember years ago when my now 17 yo nephew loved that stuff, what a fortune I spent on that stuff, including buying stuff at Epcot at that toy store in England, what was I thinking.
Oh man, this next time, I'm keeping Evan out of England. He threw a MAJOR pissy fit in that store because he wanted Thomas crapola! :sad2:
Is that FBM? Fuzzy Bikini Math???
Oooh!! I likey! ;)
I love you just the way you are though!!!

Here's the scary thing.... I would never admit to my "real world" friends what I admit to you guys!! :lmao:

I knew that was coming!! Maybe UtahMama can lend you Norah's leash for August? Ohhhh...I know...go to Petco and get one of the retractable ones!! You could have fun for HOURS with that!!
That would SO be fun to mess with him!!!

Man - I'm sooo glad that Michael's little Thomas phase lasted all of about a month or two...It's sooooo expensive...and I'm sorry - I can't stand that train...just the music makes me hostile... I've lost all respect for George Carlin now too...
The music drives me up a wall! :headache: Maddie sings the songs with an English accent!! It's crazy funny!
Personally I only buy the DVD's narrated by George Carlin! ;)

Two words...Camera Phone...now I'm going to be wondering how weird the front looked!! Was she dressed kind of like a yodeler from the Swiss Alps??

Darn it!!! Forgot about the camera phone!!! D'OH!!!:headache: She had like a white shirt and a red smock thingy on. Her whole vibe was kind of off, 80's makeup, red eyeshadow, non-shaped eyebrows. Being an ex-stylist, I'm very aware of things, like eyebrows, nails, toes, etc. She was with a bunch of MILFs, so I wondered what was up. :scratchin:

Been out of comish for a few..BUT I'M Back! I have caught up here...but nowhere else Got a lot ahead of me!
Yay!! Glad you're back!! :goodvibes
OMG! You got tagged while I was away...WOW! How fun is that!
It's been a crazy tag fest kinda week! :dance3:

:rotfl: Me too! I would much prefer to buy myself a body bag to cover up... I would just poke my head out the top!
Dude, I feel ya! :cool2:

We now have trippy nippy's & breasticles! Maybe the belt was to hold them breasticles up?
Nope, I think the belt was purely decorative, 'cept if your bigger than an A, then girls just lop over it! :rotfl:

:lmao: Yeah, he's the Fat Controller here too. I think they tried to change it when they made that godawful Thomas movie a few years back. I've always loved the character (my eldest was obsessed with him and now 'Alice' adores him too) and Ringo Starr's narration but that movie they made was so bad.
I must have missed the movie. Did it have Alec Baldwin in it?? :confused3

As for scrunchie woman, she's like the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival personified!
You hit the nail on the head!

I loooooooove Maddie skipping...
I give that girl props!! :thumbsup2 I can't even come close to skipping!!

Awww! I loved Maddie skip/hopping! So CUTE!!
Thank you, Pittypat! :welcome:

REALLY BIG RIP OFF to be exact. We go every year 2 or 3 times. We travel to PA. 3hrs each way so we have to spend the weekend in Thomas hell!!!The boys LOOOOVE it.
Ha-ha!!! Suckers!!! LY,MI!

For Real??Never to LA??No mommie and Maddie day on Robertson Blvd?
That would be the west side and we take the LAX route to the West side, completely avoiding downtown. I do loves me the west side, where I can pretend to be rich!! :lmao:

our boys dont like to share the trains, they will share all the accessories but not the trains so we have 2 sets of wooden and 2 sets of die cast take along. It is soooo expensive. Thank goodness for Target and the take along trains there.

Good lord, T!!! Evan has most of the take along series, but for Christmas, Waldo bought him the train table, so I went to TRU pick up a few wooden trains to go with the table and I nearly had a coronary!! $30 for 1 train???? :faint:

OH MY!!!!
what the heck is that. It looks like something is growing out of her head:
Dh and I are mad people watchers, those Thomas events attract all kinds of crazies
Oh boy, you should have seen some people. I was in people watching heaven!! There was this one chick, I swear she looked like Fergie and she had on engineer striped overalls and an engineer hat and construction boots. Her hair was in braids and she was very pretty... it was strange, but I kept laughing as my mind was in the gutter, again! "All aboard!!!" :lmao:

I give her an A for effort!!

Oh totally!!! That girl has got confidence like no other!! :woohoo:

OMG! That video is TOOOOOOOO cute! It's almost like you can see the synapses in her brain firing...

"skip"

"no hop"

"NO, skip"

"wait, HOP!"

"Really, SKIP!"

"but we're HOPPING!"

Love it.

Okay, I'm on limited time, so I'm gonna try this without multi-quoting...

First, beware of premature lamination. You've still got 3(ish) months to go - you really don't anticipate any more changes?! :rotfl2:

Second, looove Maddies' video! She is just adorable, no matter how she "skips"!

Third, my DS says "There's Tampa!" any time he sees a few tall buildings together. Needless to say, we live in the spraaaaaaaawwwwl. He also calls overpasses "big hills"; we live in flaaat spraaaaaaaawwwwwl. ;)

I couldn't help but smile at Maddie skipping!! It reminds me of my DD, who has no physical ability whatsoever!! So, has had more busted lips than any child I know!!!! I have never tried ot get her to skip...I guess it is time for a good belly laugh!!!!

Tracy the video of Maddie skipping is so cute, she'd be good at the triple jump!:thumbsup2 Every year at sports day we have a skipping with rope race and it's so funny to watch the little ones especially the boys, but it's amazing how quickly they improve!
