I think I need to take a time out from this sub-board.. Every time I think I have my anger and frustration under control, something happens to shoot it from "simmering" right up to the boiling point again.. I have shut off the television and stopped reading the newspapers..
I will continue to do whatever I can to help the hurricane victims in the weeks and months ahead - and I know my brother and his people are out there "somewhere" - but a mental time out is needed now..
A situation developed here this morning with a very dear elderly friend.. She has been taken advantage of in the worst possible way by her own son - he sold both of her homes right out from underneath her and is intent on lining his own pockets with the proceeds.. She needs my help and the situation must have resolution prior to October 14th.. For now I need to turn my attention to her - I've known her since I was 2 years old..
I know the people on this sub-board will continue to do whatever they can to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina.. Keep the momentum rolling - every effort, small or large - is greatly appreciated..
I'll catch you all over on the Community Board at some point in time because I expect some road blocks in dealing with this situation and may have to ask for advice and/or suggestions as the situation moves forward..
