DH has always always always since the dawn of time (OK maybe just since junior high ) worn Stetson.

It may sound totally cheesy but that is HIS smell. He has tried other things, but they just doesn't smell like HIM. I would never want him to change.

I had a boyfriend 25-odd years ago who always wore Jovan Musk - remember that one? We dated for three years. Even today I can walk past someone in the mall wearing it and have one of those Takes You Right Back moments. Its amazing how our mind stores up scent memories.

Dh wears C.O. Bigelow Cologne Elixir Green from Bath and Body Works. It smells great on him. Love when he uses the body wash as well. It isn't overpowering and works well with his chemistry.

DH is a traditionalist; he's very fond of Caswell-Massey's Tricorne. I love their scents; very masculine and nicely priced.

There is a great website called basenotes.net, that has reviews of almost every scent ever commercially produced; it also will tell you if a particular brand is still being produced, and by whom.

I wear Grier (bought it at Norway's Epcot pavilion) and Truth by Calvin Klein. Sometimes during the spring and summer I wear CK One because it has a light, fresh scent.

Do you have a Sephora by you? We have one inside of the JCPenney and they are selling a gift pack that has sample vials of all their best selling colognes and a gift certificate for $50 for the purchase of the one you liked best. I thought it was a neat idea for someone looking for something new and different.

My husband wore polo blue for two years and I loved that but now he wears polo black and I love it more. Polo also introduced 4 new scents recently, I am not sure what they are called, they have numbers 1,2,3,4 and the bottles are different colored, they all smell decent too.
