Would it be okay for hubby to wear tennis shoes for dinner in MDR, he has gray dress slacks, polo and Hawaiian shirts for dinner attire. This is what they look like.

Yes. The only "dress code" for the MDR is "no swimwear or tank tops for dinner". Beyond that, you'll basically see everything else (even on formal night).

Thanks it only a four night and trying to save room in the suitcase for souvenirs.

It's "okay" by the Disney dress code, also in our experience it is quite appropriate. Sounds like the perfect "I'm on vacation on a classy ship" attire. Especially the Hawaiian shirts...whenever one of us wore one the waiters seemed to love it.

I wear Disney Aloha shirts exclusively in the MDRs, and they're usually accompanied by shorts and flip flops.
