I am looking to purchase memory makers advance soon. I am trying to figure out which date I should purchase. I am looking to use memory makers for 2 trips which fall within a month of each other. The first trip includes 10/11 & 10/12 in the parks. The second trip includes 11/8-11/10 in the park. The pass starts 3 days after you purchase and runs for 30 days. So if I purchase this Wednesday do you know if my pass will start 10/10 or 10/11 because I really need my pass to start 10/11 so it will go thru 11/10. Thanks!

The pass starts when you start adding photos - it doesn't matter which day you purchase it. You need to purchase it in advance to get the discounted price. Once you activate the MemoryMaker, which allows you to view your photos without a watermark and download them, you have access to your photos for 30 days.

This is not quite correct. Once you download your first picture (which activates your Memory Maker), you then have 30 days to add more pictures. Your pictures then need to be downloaded within 45 days of when they're taken, because they will be deleted from the PhotoPass website at that point.

The dates you need to worry about are:
October 8 - make sure you purchase by this date so that pictures taken on 10/11 are included
October 11 - of course it's your first day, but don't download any pictures until AFTER this day. As PPs said, your MM will continue to include pictures taken 30 days after your first download. Feel free to download any time after this date and all pictures from both trips will be included.
November 24 - be sure to download the pictures from your first trip no later than this date. It is 45 days after your first trip and those shots will expire (disappear)
Dec 9 - your last pictures will expire - make sure you've finished all downloads!

Actually, we did just did this. It worked beautifully.

And I will tell you that I asked at least 8 CMs working in the PhotoPass areas and they told me it could never work for two trips - but it did work very well.

I purchased MM a week before our July trip. We had 6 days worth of photos taken from July 12-17th.

I purchased the 15 day extension and downloaded my first photo from our July trip around September 8th (I needed the extension because it takes a long time to download and edit all of those photos - we had hundreds- the extension gave me the ability to download my July photos for 60 days past July 12th rather than for 45 days past).

We arrived at WDW on September 20th. We had 7 days of photos taken.

Now, all of the photos I had from our July trip are expired and I cannot see them in PhotoPass (I downloaded all of them before they expired).

The photos they took from our September trip do not begin to expire until November 19th, 2015.

Therefore, you actually have 45 days from the date of each photo being taken to download it.

My advice:

1. Do buy MM more than 3 days before your first trip
2. Be sure MM is linked to your MDE account and your Magic Band.
2. DO NOT download any of your photos from your first trip until about 15 days (depending on the length of your trip) from the start of your second trip (you will have only 30 days past the date of the first download to add photos to your Memory Maker).
3. Give yourself plenty of time from your first download to actually download the photos and edit them in PhotoPass. I spent hours editing and playing with border/stickers, etc.
4. Enjoy those photos from both trips!

We just did this and the photos from the second trip expire 45 days from the date they were taken- not 45 days from the first trip. We used MM for the first time in July and our photos from September do not begin expire until November 19th.

Did I count wrong? Oops, yes. . . I meant to put dates showing that each picture expires 45 days after its taken, thus the two different dates that OP needs to make sure they've finished downloading. The latest date for second trip download is Christmas Day!

And I may have counted wrong, too. I think since I purchased the extension that the second set of photos actually expires 60 days after the photos were taken, too. (Sept. 20th - Nov. 19th)
