Sorry if this question has been asked many times before. I tried searching but didn't find my answer in the MM threads I read.

I bought my MM through the MDE website for the discount. It shows up now when I log in, but I still got an email saying I need to go to will call when I arrive. What will they do at will call that I need to use the MM? And does the Epcot International Gateway have a will call as that is how we will enter our first day. Thanks a bunch for helping me!

I also just recently ordered online as well. I was confused as to which delivery option to pick, will call or home delivery, because I thought it just went to the band.
I got nervous and did end up paying for the Fed Ex. What I got in the mail was an information book and also a plastic memory maker card. (similar to the plastic photopass cards you get in the parks). I think you have the option to scan the band or hand the photographer this plastic card when using memory maker.

You will probably get the same packet at will call.
Sorry I can't answer the question about international gateway. Not sure on that one!

I called Disney Photopass this morning. If you took pictures prior to MM activation, it is still ok to add the photopass to MM acct later as long as you pre-purchased 3 days ahead. The only problem is attractions and dinning pics. However, you have 24 hrs to claim to MM after the event.

If MM works the same way as PP+, then you can claim it at the Photo Shop across from SpaceEarth.

We are only planning on doing World Showcases our first day. I hope the MM will be active when we get there. If not, how do we add those pictures later on? Will the MB scan be enough to locate the pics? Seems complicated :)

Basically you can get pics on your MB no problem with the exception of meal and rides. When you go to will call, they add your information to MyDisney Experience so that it is all together on your MB.

HTH

You only need to go to Will Call to pick up the MM card, if you want to do so. Otherwise the photos will get scanned to your MB and go into your account. Some people don't have MBs so they need the card.

We have a group of 28 people (7 families) going in November. I ordered the Memory Maker and have everyone linked to my MDE. I know that anyone can go through the park and scan their band to add pictures, but what about the ride pictures and the character meals? Will anyone be able to? Or, does it have to be me since I am technically the owner? Last year when we went we had the PhotoPass+ and they just scanned the card that showed we had it. Thanks!

Just FYI - I purchased MM for our vacation and afterwards, realized they didn't ask me anything about FedExing anything or instructions about will-call. So I called back and asked. They said you no longer get the card - that everything is done through the magic band. Not sure if this is 100% accurate but that's what I was told about 5 mins ago.

This is good info, thanks. I have the deal booked that gives the free MM and as my trip gets closer I was going to ask IPO (at BC CL) if it's automatically linked to our bands. Having everything on our bands is incredible and makes trips so much easier without having so many different cards to juggle.

I just ordered MM two days ago (through the link on my MDE account) and was given the option to have it mailed or pick up at will call. I was surprised since I thought it was tied to my MB. It said to go to where they sell tickets. So, it sounds like I don't need to go there? I'm confused. How will I know if it is working properly?

It sounds like the card has been optional for a while although it would be greatly reassuring if someone who has only used the Magic Band and not the card would come and verify that things worked fine without it.

We just got back yesterday and used MM. I purchased it over the phone a few months prior to our trip and it was added to my MDE account (when you scroll down past your dining reservations, tickets etc its at the bottom and will have a number that shows you have it linked to your MDE account) I did not ever get a card.

You scan your band when your done with the photo op or attraction ride...although in MK you no longer have to scan your band if you have MM, it just magically appears on your band (started about 2 days prior to us leaving, and we were told at several attraction picture lines that if we had MM it was already on our band without having to stop...still made me nervous but they indeed did end up on our bands!)

As long as your MDE account shows an active MM, no will call will be necessary. Occasionally if the photopass persons MB scanner isn't working they will give you a photopass card and you can go into photopass, input the number and it will appear on your MM account as well. (Waterpark hands out photo pass little cards tied to rubber bands on their speed slides, doesn't scan MBs)

We ordered the memory maker as well for our party of 22 (everyone is linked).

Once all the photos have been taken, does it cost any money to download them? Are you only allowed a certain number of photos?

I understand how memory maker works, I just don't understand how we get the pictures after our vacation.

Thanks!

I just downloaded more than 1000 pictures from MM. If there's a limit, it's a big one!

So....for the not-so tech savvy -- I would download the photos to a usb drive or my computer, and then I could either take them somewhere to get prints made or upload them to FB, or wherever?

I know I should know this, I just tend to take photos on my phone and send them from there. I'm sure my teenager would be rolling his eyes at me...

Yes, you download them to your computer. From there you can load the ones you want to print on to a flash drive or memory card. I take mine to Costco. I believe you can also upload them to Costco from your home, but I just take mine there.

Great, Thanks!

I had no intention of getting Memory Maker, but I called this morning to buy tickets to the Villains Party, and the cast member told me they were going to be doing special ride-along villain photos. It seems like a really easy way to enjoy the party more if we aren't trying to capture every image on our phones...and the rest of the trip, too!
