Memory Maker over multiple trips

I think I have this right but want to confirm before I spend the money...

We are going for one night 12/6 for my girls B-day and then back for 5 nights for the Marathon in January (checking out the 12th).

So...
Can I purchase Memory Maker for the 12/6 trip - not download any pictures until say 12/15 and then get all my Marathon pictures as well?

By waiting until the 15th to download the first one that should put me within the 30 day window.

Will that work?

I'd wait until 12/30 or later to download my first picture.

Here is how I see it.

First picture taken 12/6 so it will expire 45 days later. You have until 1/20(?) before they expire. You can spend time editing these picture just don't download them.

Memory Maker first picture downloaded 12/30. You now can download pictures under this purchase until 01/29.

Second set of pictures taken ending 01/12. You have until 1/29 to edit and download these pictures.

If you start downloading on 12/15 you only have 1 day to edit and download the pictures from your second trip since MM would expire on 01/14.

That's a really good point about waiting longer before I download the pictures from the first stay - I will definitely do that!!
