Memory Maker linking question

In MDE, under the Memory Maker category, is it okay/correct that it just says assigned to "my name"? Or, should it list the names of each member of our party who are also listed in the MDE account? (And if so, how do I get it linked to each person?) I obviously want to make sure all photos of all members of my party are included, even if I personally am not on a ride or in a photo. TIA!

It will only say ."assigned to" the one person who purchased it. To make sure that everyone else's pictures will be captured, go into "my family and friends" and click Edit for each friend/family member listed. Choose "this person can view and purchase my photos" OR if it's a person with no MDE account of their own, they will simply show as "you manage this account", which is sufficient.

If other members of your party DO have their own MDE account, they should also go into their own Friends and Family list and make sure that you are listed wuth the "this person can view and purchased my photos" option.

At the end of your trip, everyone in your group with an MDE account can view everyone's pictures online, but only the one person who actually purchased the memory maker can download all the photos free. In our case, we were family in several rooms - the MM purchaser just downloaded all the photos and burned CDs for everyone else.

I'm also interested in this.
So if I understand, as long as all friends and family are in my MDE account without an account of their own so I manage everyone's accounts, and on the same reservation, all photo pass & ride photos from each person on the account will appear in my Memory Maker account. Correct?

:thumbsup2 you got it

I'm also interested, what if we are on different reservations but all linked on my MDE? And all staying slightly different amounts of days?

Thanks!

If you,re all linked in MDE, just make sure that your Family and Friends list shows each person listed as "this person can view and purchase my photos". AND they should make sure that YOU are listed in their own MDE that way too. I Don't have experience with slightly varying stays, but since MM has its own 30-day active period and is not tied to your hotel reservation dates, I don't think your varied stay dates will be a problem. You can look at your photos while you're still there and if you find that any are missing, MM customer service is good at finding photos if you can tell them who is in it, roughly when & where taken and what the people look like.

Two quirks:

1) I'm pretty sure only the person who "owns" The MM can see the ride photos. Everyone who rides with their MB on will be captured, but yo'll only see those under the main person's login. All other photos (character meets, photopass photographers) can be seen from everyone's login.
2) only the purchaser can perform the edits (adding borders and stickers) and do the download under their login. If other parties try to download, they'll be prompted to pay.

So One persons is set up like that, one is my daughter and it says nothing she is under 13 and it says she can't be invited to plans, should her account/name say this?

The other people will need to accept the invitations and then I can try to work through it..... I figure my daughters will be the least of an issue because I will most likely be with her at all times....

If I manager account does it need to say this in the settings, example my husband doesn't have his own account i manage it.

If they don't have their own account (either child or adult who just doesn't have one) they should say "this account is managed by you" or something to that effect. If kids say "can't be invited to plan and share" that's the same thing and they are properly linked for MM

I have a scenario that three of my friends are going to WDW this week. My first friend and her family are there today; we arrive Thursday.

The first friend and her husband are in MK and getting photos taken. I've got the Memory Maker and we thought that we had it all covered. I'm not seeing the photos.

For her DH, he doesn't have an account, she manages his. His status in my MDE says "cannot view your plans or photos"
For her, she says "can view all your plans.
xxx can view and purchase your PhotoPass photos."

Did I miss a step somewhere?
I haven't been texting them too much b/c I don't want to bother them in MK. They are on vacation and this isn't a show-stopper. I'm sure that we can figure it out after-the-fact...right?
As long as they have the pictures captured somewhere, we can always link them later?

Of course, it is always possible that it is taking Disney a little while to get the photos uploaded?

Thank you!!! I really appreciate it!! I think I'm good now if it was just vacation time!
