Hi guys, so we will be in the world Sept 8-12 for my DD (2.5) first visit:) Super excited for her to see everything. Not to overwhelm her too much we decided to only do two parks (MK and Epcot). We will try and do many characters meets and photos but do you think the memory maker would be worth it. On one hand it's her first time and the quality will probably be better than my HD camera and I wouldn't have to worry about it, on the other it's only two days at the park. Any thoughts?

I am interested in the feedback you will get. We are going in October with 20 month old DD, 2 days + MNSSHP, planning same parks as you. Trying to figure out if getting the MM will be worth it. Just don't feel like having to lug around my big camera. If we get MM, we can get some quality character pics I'm sure, and then just take quick pics with our IPhones. But for 2 days, will it be worth it...???.. Ugh! Decisions.... :-)

I would say for that short of a trip it would really depend on just how many characters you are planning to meet. We have a LOT of photos from meet and greets, and there are many of those in MK. However, how much time are you going to be in the park (or will your child be awake in the park)? How many character lines are you really going to stand in? Are you going to ride too, or just meet characters? What about in Epcot? Character lines form fast (at least in the countries). How much time are you going to spend waiting for characters versus walking the countries and riding rides? Do you want a lot of pictures with the park icons (where you are willing to stop multiple times to have pictures taken)?

I am a big fan of MM. They captured many great character interactions with my kids and allowed me to be a part of the interactions (instead of being back behind my camera). If being part of the moments instead of just watching them (like being next to your child while meeting Mickey) is of value to you, then I would consider purchasing it. However, keep in mind that each picture is $15, so you still would need to purchase more than 10 pictures to make MM a cost effective purchase. Another thing to consider would be how your child might react to the characters....if you end up with a screaming child after meeting Mickey, you might not want to do any other character meets and then MM most likely wouldn't be worth it.
