Memory Maker - Fedex email?

I have received a strange email tonight from Fedex saying they have collected a package to deliver to me from 'WDW Fullfilment' and says:

Reference: XXXXXXXXX
Estimated delivery: Dec 5, 2014
Service type: FedEx International Priority
Packaging type: FedEx Pak
Number of pieces: 1
Weight: 0.40 lb.
Special handling/Services: Deliver Weekday
Status: Picked up

Has anyone else had this? I can only presume it is to do with the fact I ordered MM last night to beat the price increase. But, I thought it was all online and I would just receive package when I check in next August? Does anything get delivered to your home? I haven't paid any delivery charges that I am aware of.

Can anyone help on this please?

Yes I had one too

Didn't previou get anything in the post and as we were using MagicBands I didm collect anything from will call either and had no problems but last time it asked me a shipping method and this time I don't remember that so I am assuming that they ship a card for all orders now

Probably why they needed to increase the price

Mine is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow, so we'll soon now

but per other users, you get your receipt and a memory maker card

you don't need that card if you stay onsite and have a magic band, but it looks like they ship it anyway (for free, or as Elise hinted, the $20 prepurchase price hike might be to include the shipping fees ... for something that doesn't really need shipping ...)

OK thanks for clarifying . Seems silly they have to ship to the UK when previously you just collected at check in or will call or whatever. It also seems silly to send it Fedex for quickness, as in our case, it is something that isn't going to be used for 8 months +!

It's the MM card - we got ours when we got back! We just used the magic bands, MM linked to MDE account, so never needed the mailed stuff at all.

I just received our card! Does seem a bit strange shipping the card to the UK when we could have picked it up when we got there! Oh well at least I have it!

Mine hasn't arrived. It was due today and my postman has been. I did have to go out a few times but did leave a note to say to leave it 'safe' - no calling card left or anything. Did anyone have to sign for theirs or it was just through the letterbox? I can then take the note off the door when I go out again if someone can confirm please....

As others have said, totally not necessary, but nice to get some magical mail! Although, given the choice, if it meant a cheaper price in the future, I'd rather collect than have it posted!

you do have to sign, and it's not the postman calling (not over here at least), it's the FedEx Courrier

click on the link in your fedexmail, and check the status ( Customer not available or business closed)

you should have en email in your inbox with the following title : FedEx Delivery Exception

Reason Delivery Not Completed

1. Customer not Available or Closed

Recommended Action

Business Delivery will be re-attempted the next business day.

Thanks - just checked the tracking and it says out for delivery - to be delivered by 6 pm. Issue is, I have to go out now and probably won't be back before 6 pm!

ETA - Flew around, got back 5.57 pm to a FedEx driver pulling up to my drive. So, I now have the magical card - DD1 and DH looked at me like I'd lost it when I got so excited....!!??
