Since it was just announced not too long ago, I guess no one actually has had the actual wedding yet, but anyone going through the process of planning?

Is is possible to plan a wedding for Feb 2011?

Anyone have pics of Luau beach?

I wanted just me, fiance, and DD there and I would have to hire an officiant correct? Since its only the 3 of us we really wouldn't need a rehearsal right?

Any experiences, idea, etc would be great....

Trying my best to keep this on a budget

O and how many nights do you need to stay in order to have a wedding done in WDW?

I believe you can book a memories package any dates all through next year. You definitely don't need a rehearsal. You would need to book 2-nights at a WDW resort.

I had a wishes wedding so I can't answer any other questions but the Disney weddings website is a great starting point. And if you're certain of your date you should call DFTWs because you're within your booking window for a memories collection wedding.

Hi! I was wondering the same thing and haven't read much about anyone choosing the memories package, so thanks for posting! we sent the contract last week for 1/3/11 ceremony at the luau beach. spoke to Rev. Tim and he said it's a beautiful location.

i think on their site they said you can only choose sat and sun weddings but when DH called we are able to choose a different day (ours is on a monday). They're allowing other days due to high inquiries. so i would think feb is fine, considering we just picked our day last week for jan. just give them a call.

ours will be us the couple, our two DDs, FIL and MIL. because of the size, rehearsal is not necessary, especially since it's just the three of you. officiant does not count towards your max of six. i emailed three officiants and they've all penciled me in for that day/time. haven't decided on who but leaning towards rev. jack day.

fyi... for dinner, we made reservation at cinderella's royal table. i would like to wear my dress for dinner (it's not a wedding dress, just a short blue dress) to the dinner, but i don't know if they'd consider that as a "wedding" dress and i won't be able to wear it. i guess i should ask my coordinator...

they sent me my package (i can go into details if you'd like). we are staying within budget by not ordering any enhancements (making my own flower wands for DDs, etc). every element is a multiple choice (choose the songs from their list, bridal bouquet from their list, etc.)

per my package, two minimum nights are required...

hope this help you get started :D

AH! Thanks! So excited for you!
Yes, give me all the details lol. What songs were you able to chose from?
We were leaning towards Feb b/c DD is off from school that week. I am not sure what to do b/c we were planning an Aug vacation with my aunt, uncle, and 3 boys. I don't know if I should tell them we changed our plans, or try and see if my family would all be up for the actual escape wedding, but I really didn't want to spend a lot. I just wanted something simple, inexpensive.
So whatever details you have, I'd be so interested in hearing.:goodvibes

going through my package from the beginning...

bouquet choice: gerbera daisy (7 different color options, 3 ribbon color options), roses and hydrangea (4 colors/3 ribbons options), roses and lilies (4 colors/3 ribbon options), bright and bold (one option), or orchid and maile lei set for bride and groom (3 color options). they provided pics of all of the bouquets...

additional floral selections (for extra fees): boutonniere, posey bouquet of roses, rose flower wands, flower pomander, flower girl basket, ring bearer pillow, single lei, circle of love flowers. they provided pics of all the floral selections...

limousine charter or in room celebration (choose one)...

music:
* bridal party = canon in D by pachelbel, jesu joy of man's desiring by bach, spring "the four season" by vivaldi, or a dream is a wish our heart makes from cinderella. the default choice is canon in D (if you don't choose any)
* bride = bridal chorus "lohengrin" by wagner, trumpet voluntary by clarke, trumpet tune in D major by purcell, or when you wish upon a star from pinocchio. the default choice is bridal chorus
* recessional = wedding march by mendelssohn, trumpet tune D by purcell, the four season (spring or autumn) by vivaldi, hornpipe "water music" by handel, or disney's electrical light parade theme. the default choice is wedding march

up to one hour pro disney photography...

videography and additional photography selections (for extra fees)...

they also sent us a list of disney recommended officiants, which is not included in the $1,991 (this include tax btw)... the officiant is between $200 - $225...

anyway, this is definitely an affordable option (don't have $50k laying around) :) good luck deciding!

o Amelia that sounds wonderful! :yay:

Did they tell you where they hold the ceremony if there's inclement weather? I have no luck and it would probably rain, but looking at Feb, it looks like there isn't too much rainfall in FL.

Hi ladies! My husband and I just had a Memories Vow Renewal last week!!! It was wonderful and I'm so glad we did it -- we were really thrilled with everything. It was the perfect package for us and the planning was very smooth -- we planned the whole thing in just about 5 weeks (the Disney end of things was stress-free but finding a dress in that time was a little:scared1: :rotfl:). We hired an officiant and there was no rehearsal (but we didn't need one as it was just the two of us).

Our location was Conch Key Marina, which is beautiful. I could see the castle in the background as I walked in . It was also very private. The flowers were beyond gorgeous (I had the rose and hydrangea bouquet).

sounds wonderful!! Please post pics when you get them.
Did you add any extras?

o and i have a question about photos
for the memories package you get the website and you could order prints from that and you get the 3 5x7s
can I purchase the CD so I have rights to my pictures and if so how much would that be?

We added a few extras -- the rose petals for the ceremony ("circle of love"), a photo print package and an 8x8 photobook. I didn't see pricing for the CD so I'm not sure on the cost of that. :goodvibes

if you don't mind me asking how much was the photo print package and the photobook? (I'm a picture freak).

I was thinking of adding the altar stand and doing the sand ceremony, wonder how much that is to add.

Hmm. . .I really wanted to get married on Monday June 20th since it is the anniversary of ten years together. But, the website says sat or sun. . . I wonder if I could have it on monday?:confused3

Here's to hoping!:)

What I'd like to know is if you can pay for a couple extra guests. I would do a memories VR with just our sons present but DH is pretty set on his parents being there. That makes me obligated to invite my parents and would put us 2 over the limit of 6. If it came down to spending on an escape package or nothing I'd choose nothing because I wouldn't want to spend that much for a renewal.

From what I know, no, you have to stick to the 4 guests for the Memories wedding, if you want any more guests than that, then you have to upgrade to an Escape wedding.
