Memories of Little Green Men and Sardines (6/8-17, 2010) **FINAL UPDATE 2-25-2011**

Goodness! What an ordeal getting to BC! I'm so glad they were able to make the photo session happened. The pictures you posted are lovely. I love the one of you and your son--so sweet! :goodvibes Can't wait to see the rest of the pictures once your PP cd comes.

Wonderful pictures from your photo session - especially the one of you and your son. What adorable facial expressions. :goodvibes

That's odd. I wonder if there is a way to double check before leaving...

I know, I didn't even realize it until I started looking through my CD to find pics to post on here! I don't think there's a way to check before leaving. I could probably call & ask them if there's a way to add them...like whenever there's a photo missing from your PhotoPass card & you can call & ask them if they can find it. I'm not sure. :confused3

I'm not sure if this would get you the result you would like, but I think you can upload the pics from your photo session CD to the Photo Pass site and add the borders and such. They wouldn't be included on a Photo Pass CD if your ordered one, though. To get copies you would either have to buy prints (19 cents/print) or buy the download rights ($14.95 each).

It is weird that they weren't all included to begin with.

You're right! I could add them to the PhotoPass site & then purchase prints for 19 cents each or buy the download rights. I think I might add the photos & then add borders & see if I like any of them enough to order. I'll probably just buy the prints. I'll let you know what I decide to do! Thanks for the info, not sure why I didn't think of that myself! lol

Beautiful pics from your photo session! :goodvibes

Your photopass pictures are great!

Thank you everyone!!! I'm glad you liked the photos!!! I was very happy with the way they turned out & so happy to finally have our first family photos!!! :goodvibes

Thanks! We definitely had a huge transportation disaster, as I now refer to it! It was definitely overwhelming...looking back, I'm actually amazed that I stayed as calm as I did! I'm in the process of working on the rest of Day 2, so hopefully will have the rest of the story posted soon for all of you to read![/QUOTE]

We had a transportation snafu on our trip too. We ended up being late for our ADR because I thought we could run over to Epcot, pick up FP's and then take the monorail to the Contemporary for our ADR at CM's. Only to figure out that we couldn't get to the Contemporary without first going to the TTC to change monorails. UGH!!! Can't wait to hear how it turns out!

Completely off subject of my trip report, but it is Disney related!!!

And second...did you see the new COLORED Sketch Disney Dooneys???? I guess they came out July 1st and only the sketch wristlet and sketch messenger bag are offered in the colors (for now anyway!) They come in yellow, pink, green, purple, and blue. I am leaning towards the green, but also love the pink and blue! I think even if I decide to someday buy a Sketch, I'd get the original white one, but with the colored wristlet!

I am on :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

OK, also off topic but do you know if you can buy the TrenD merchandise anywhere besides on Disneystore.com? I bought the white Dooney Sketch tote and wristlet (well, DH and the kids bought them for me for Mother's Day a couple of weeks early) but there were some non-Dooney purses there, red I believe, that had mickey and the gang on them and they were around $30 and I am really regretting not buying one or more and now I can't find them online.
I'd love to see the colored sketch purses. If you have a link, would you post it? I'm really enjoying the TR!

Not a problem...off topic is fine with me!!! :rotfl: It doesn't matter to me what anyone posts on my trip report...ask questions if you have them, even completely non-Disney related stuff! Its fine!

I did read prior to our trip that if you have the store name & the item number for what you want to order, its really really simple to order through Disney Merchandising. I was also reading on another thread on DIS that you can order through another place in Disney as well...but I can't remember what its called. Since you do know it came from Tren-D, then you should be able to contact Disney Merchandising & they can help you order it. I think its just the regular cost of the item plus a shipping charge that you pay. I bet you could also go onto Disney Shopping and look up the item number & then call Disney Merchandising.

Depending on how much you're spending, you may be further ahead to order through Disneyshopping.com because they have a free shipping offer right now, so you wouldn't have to pay shipping like you will through Merchandising. Just a thought. I would also check ebay. Sometimes sellers will ridiculously inflate the prices, but sometimes you can find something for the cost of the item or a little lower, just depending on what the item is & how popular it is on ebay. I would also check Amazon and just do a general search on Mickey totes or something like that. I've found things cheaper than Amazon or Ebay just by doing a regular search! I actually have about 100 Disney websites saved on my favorites. I'll PM them to you later...:rotfl:

It was hilarious during our trip because I was in so many stores typing item numbers into my cell phone & taking pics on my cell of items. Other guests & CMs probably thought I was crazy & were wondering what I was doing! I was just writing down the numbers for things I didn't buy...just in case I got back home & realized it was something I really needed (umm...ok, or wanted) and decided to order.

I will find the link to the Disney Dooneys on DIS and post it for you.

I hope something I said helps you find that bag! I'll keep my eye open on ebay because I buy & sell on there. :)

Ok, I couldn't get the link to work on DIS, but if you search in the box (I think its underneath your name where it shows you are signed onto DIS)...search for "Dooney and Bourke" and the thread is called "Dooney and Bourke Collaboration 2" or something similar to that. I think about 10 pages back from where they are now, are pictures of the colored wristlets and colored messenger bags.

I would actually suggest going to ebay and typing in "Disney Dooney" in the search box. That's how I always find them. Some ebay sellers have pictures of the insides of the bags as well as the outside. Some also list the dimensions so you know how big the bag is. I'll try to post a link to ebay here, but for some reason none of my links are working this evening! Grr!

Blue Colored Sketch Messenger Bag

I just randomly searched ebay & found this listing. I have no idea who is selling this nor do I have any affiliation with them or Dooney. Just thought I'd write my own little disclaimer here...lol

Also, I just searched ebay for "Disney tote" and it came up with 1,977 results...so it might take awhile to look through all of them for your red tote bag! I tried typing in "Fab 5 tote" and "Red Mickey tote" but only got a few results for each of those...none were the bag you described. Here's the link to the ebay results. Hope it can help you find what you're looking for!

Disney Totes on Ebay

We arrived at the Magic Kingdom at 3:05pm. Its just an amazing feeling to walk down Main Street…I guess that’s the point of every trip when I feel like I’m really at Disney!!!

Construction on Main Street…Exposition Hall, Casey’s, and The Plaza are all under construction.

This is the point where we notice that we are squeezed like sardines into the park! This is as close as I could get to the statue (with my zoom lens!)

We walked around Tomorrowland and by this time, our son fell asleep for his afternoon nap

Cosmic Ray’s is our favorite QS at Magic Kingdom! We ate at 4:04pm and our bill would have been $28.94 but we used 2 QS meals from our dining plan. We both got the BBQ pork sandwich with fries. I got a sweet tea and chocolate cake. My husband got a Coke and carrot cake. We decided to wait & get our son something after he woke up. Of course, I never have pictures of my husband’s meal when we get different things…but somehow I managed to get a picture of his before he ate half of it, not too exciting since we got the same thing! lol

I am obsessed with BBQ pork back home & am very picky about what sauce I will eat. I was surprised that I really loved this sandwich! The sauce was great! It was sooo hot and humid that we decided to just sit and relax for a little while. We both called home and enjoyed the lack of crowds!

Up to this point, we had seriously been squished like sardines in the park! It was insane how many people were there. Since a show was going on at the castle, I guess most people were there or trying to get Fast Passes while everyone else was at the show! We were lucky & were able to sit & enjoy the scenery. I always get great pictures from outside Cosmic Ray’s!

Great update hope!!! Love the pic of little man sleeping in the stroller!!! I have many of those photos myself! :)

I apologize that I don't remember who was asking about the blue chesire cat from Alice. I found this tote on ebay. Again, I am not the seller nor am I affiliated with this ebay member...I just happened to come across it whenever I was looking at Disney bags & remembered someone asking about the blue cat.

Blue Chesire Cat Tote bag from Disney's Alice in Wonderland

That was me!!!!

I saw that bag on disney shopping it is soooooo cute, if they have it in WDW I will buy it for sure!!!

Thanks

I'll have to consider Cosmic Rays for a QS should we need one. I am not sure if we will need to eat a QS, but it is good to know nonetheless. Great photos from there. :goodvibes

We've eaten at Cosmic Ray's twice and both times had a horrible time trying to find a table so I've marked it off my list, your sandwiches look yummy though!

You got some great photos :thumbsup2

I thought that was you Natalie! I can't remember what all they had at Tren-D but I do remember seeing LOTS of Alice merchandise! I'd look there for the cheshire bag! :goodvibes

I know I said this before, but I'm so glad I didn't watch Alice prior to our trip...I probably would've spent alot more $$$ because they had Alice stuff everywhere! :rotfl:

I would definitely consider Cosmic Rays! One of the main reasons we like it is because they have 3 different "bays" as they call them...basically 3 different lines for different food at each. Somewhere I have a photo of the menus from each line. I'll have to look for it. Its nice because if you're a family who likes different means (like we are!) then you don't have to stop at more than one restaurant, you can just all eat at the same place. Its more convenient for sure & you don't have to worry about one person's food getting cold while you're walking to another restaurant to get food for other family members!

I am soooo jealous that you said you might not have to eat at QS at all! While we do like the QS choices, I would LOOOOOVE to eat at only table service restaurants!!! Hopefully next trip, they offer "free dining" and we're able to book enough in advance to take advantage of the offer!

those sandwiches looked good! i'm getting kinda hungry now :rotfl:

They were yummy!!!

Sorry I made you hungry...but wait until you see the next 2 days of food...you will be starving! Make sure you eat prior to reading my report of our HS and Epcot days! :lmao:

We've eaten there every trip & never had a problem finding a table...but I think I know why! We seem to eat at "odd" times of the day. For instance, we always eat supper by 4pm and lunch around 10:30 or 11am. (if we get hungry in the evening, we eat a small snack around 7 or 8pm)

I actually noticed a sign during one of our meals at Cosmic Rays...it said capacity 1192. Umm...yeah right! Let me tell you, I didn't count the people in there, but I can pretty much guarantee there were waaaaay more people in there than 1192!!! And as you said, there were people who couldn't find a table...there were people packed into the 2 large dining areas AND the 2 outdoor sitting areas. I actually saw parents sitting with their kids on their laps...I have no idea how they were managing to eat their meals! It was crazy, so I understand what you mean!

Great update! :) I think my favorite thing about Cosmic Ray's is the fixin's bar.

Yum...the fixins bar!!! You are right...one of my favorite parts & I didn't even mention it in my report! Thanks for the reminder!
