Memories Collection Photographer clarification

I posted on here a few days ago, about using an outside photographer and that I had spoken with my planner about using them before and after. Well, after reading many posts about how unhappy some of the Disney photographer users were and that if I used my own he would be considered a guest, I decided to call and double check. Here's what I was told:

If you use an outside vendor they are not considered a guest, unless you choose to use them AND the Disney Photographer. Since we already have 6 guests, then in our case, we would have to forfeit the Disney photographer or have the wedding cancelled and pay 90% of the cost even though we didn't get married.

I just wanted other Memory collection Bride's to be aware that you don't have to waste a guest slot!

It's always good to find out from DFTW to be sure.

I also wanted to add that not everyone is unhappy with Disney Photographers. Perhaps we are one of the lucky ones, but we are very happy with the way our photos turned out. The only thing I am not happy about is that I would have liked more photos - especially since we upgraded our photo package. We had an escape VR and had Stephanie as our Disney photographer. She was great! And we love the pictures.
