How busy will it be?

We went last year in April and May. Both were hot. You will find that the day before Memorial Day and the day of will probably be busy but not as busy the rest of the week. Keep in mind that the Southern schools are out of school by then, and that's why we went.

Also, bear in mind that the weekend after Memorial Day - first weekend of June is Gay and Lesbian weekend. We were checking out the day that started and even received a memo under our door about it and the events planned.

In 2003, the Saturday after Memorial Day is still May and so Gay day isn't until the following weekend. I think it's around June 3.

You'll find the days just before Memorial Day to be pleasant and not TOO crowded. And the weather is ideal.

Then comes the weekend. The crowds start to swell. Saturday, the MK will likely reach capacity, and around mid-day they will close it to keep out any more guests. It will be a nightmare. Things will not calm down again until Tuesday, when it will get back to something resembling normal.

But it will not quite return to what it was the week before -- you will notice a decided uptick in guests. But it will still be manageable. Barely.

This will be our third year in a row we visit during Memorial Day weekend. I NEVER saw the parks close due to crowds, I will admit it is a good idea to stay on property and go back to the hotel from lunch time till 4pm for a break. That time of year is great because the northern schools have not let out yet and the temp is great, with practically no rain. I have noticed more Floridians visit during that time period than people from out of state. We are from CT. Have FUN!!!

What are the park hours during that time, due they stay open later?

We arrived the Saturday before Memorial Day and left the following Saturday.
It was hot. (But it was almost as hot and more humid just over Columbus Day weekend and felt worse due to the humidity.)
MK was BUSY the day after Memorial Day, as was the Friday after.
The other parks were great, as far as *crowds*. MK was not as enjoyable due to the crowds. We even left early (mid afternoon) Tuesday because of the heat and crowds.

We were at the Studios on Sunday, and MK on Monday of this past Memorial Day weekend.

Neither was overly busy. Yes there were crowds, but nothing that couldn't be dealt with.
