DH and I are trying to plan our next summer's trip to WDW. We are thinking about going May 24-30. How are the crowds during this week of Memorial Day?

We usually go in the middle of June, but would like to plan an earlier trip this time. However, if the crowds will be unbearable then, we will reconsider.

Thank you ,
Allison

We were there the week before Memorial Day this year. We actually came home the Saturday of that weekend. The crowds were very light the whole week. We were able to walk on to almost EVERY ride (I think we waited a max of 5 minutes for a couple of them). Thursday night, the crowds started increasing and the parks were much more crowded on Friday and Saturday.

Memorial Day weekend in one of the most busy weekends there, and the crowds are heavy. I would think that after the weekend, the crowds would thin out significantly since most kids are still in school then. (That's precisely why we took our kids out of school the week before!)

I am sold on going in May. The weather is fantastic (especially compared to Illinois) and the crowds are very light. Since it's the end of the year and school is beginning to wind down, I don't think it hurts the kids to be gone.

Have a magical trip.

We arrived the Saturday before Memorial Day and left the following saturday (early a.m.).
We didn't go into the parks on either Saturday.
All the parks were great as far as *crowd* levels -- EXCEPT MK. :p
We went there the day after Memorial Day and Friday, the 31st. It was just as busy both days. I really couldn't tell a difference.
We are spoiled by January crowds. But MK really wasn't even enjoyable for us. Even with FP, everything was a two hour time waster in between rides. We kept saying throughout the time we were there, "We'll do that in January." We just decided to hang MK up.
The weather was hot, not unbearable, but it was hot.
The bus service was... er .. lacking, to say it nice.
We still really enjoyed our trip a lot. But I think we would both agree to go another time, or another place. (Kinda of a been there done that, try another time.) Part of this was because we did notice cut backs that had previously spoiled us.
The Flower & Garden expo at Epcot was great!
