Memorial Day Room Rates... Very confused!

We will be in WDW from May 10 - June 5 (I believe thats right, wheres my PDA when I need it). I called CRO and asked them how much my room rate was going up for the weekend of memorial day. They told me that the rate would not be going up... I know it has gone up in the past, if fact my cruise last year over memorial day went up a little more then $200/person. Anyone have any insight on this???

With the exception of Christmas and Easter, Disney does not distinguish between holiday times for room rates. They only specify dates of each season. Since Memorial Day is in May that is only considered the Regular Season. They don't raise the prices over a holiday weekend. This is of course for Disney owned resorts only. Hope this helps!!

Wow! You are going to be in WDW for almost a month?! Which resort(s) are you staying at? WDW Resorts do not charge more over the Memorial Day Weekend. We stayed at the AKL in May of 2001 over the Memorial Day Weekend and the price did not go up. It is considered Regular Season. Discount codes just came out of this time frame. Tiffany, We are staying at the BC and GF. Every year my family meets in WDW for a few weeks. This year I am meeting some friends down there after my family head off back to there homes. As for the suggestion on discount codes I am on it! I am still anxiously waiting for the AP Rates... starting to rip my hair out!!! Thanks for your post, and for yours too Disneyfan. I am glad to hear that they wont be uping my rate on the resort. A little confused as to why the cruise rates go up over that weekend, but sooo glad they wont be going up for our stay!
