What are the best places in the parks for nice, small adult things?

I'll go to the outlet mall for stuff for the young relations - not a problem.

But for me? I want something to remember the trip by. Preferably small, unique, disneyesque and not horrifically expensive. Something so that I don't buy things like mouse ears with my name on the back. (Although if I find a pair with the classic Mickey Mouse Club logo on the front - I had a set as a young girl - I may well be tempted too far and wind up embarrassing the DH. :rotfl: )

Ideas? Anyone? Bueller?:confused3

There is a small clearance type of store in Downtown Disney that has some cheap Disney stuff.

Inexpensive, at WDW ? Good luck.

If you're looking for something Disney that's really cheap, you might look into the pressed penny machines that are scattered throughout the parks. You can even purchase a book to keep them in.

Also, I think you can find a lot of Disney stuff at the many off-site souvenir stores that are a lot cheaper than stuff offered in the stores on Disney property.

Hope this helps.

I like to get an ornament each trip that has the year printed on it (if possible).

I like this for our souvenier. I have a hard time spending money on things that I won't get use out of. Thats just me.

Inexpensive in this case, I don't know, would be under $50 maybe? Maybe under $100 for something special? I'll spend less if I have some idea of ONE nice thing that I want.

How about a snow globe? They aren't exactly cheap, but if you want something small that you can remember your trip by, they typically offer these in the resort logo gift shop, as well as WDW stores.

Do you want something you can use, or just something you can put on a shelf?

They have a wide selection of glass collectibles, housewear, and so much more at both Mouse Gear (Epcot) and World of Disney (DtD).

Then there's always the $14 plush Mickey - you can get him dressed coordinating with the current theme, park, or event you're there for.

I am a big fan of jewelry and there are options in all price ranges. I have a sterling silver charm bracelet that my sister got for me on QVC. It has Mickey in one of the links and a mickey charm at the clasp. I have purchased several charms to go on the bracelet, usually under $20 each. They are available EVERYwhere, parks, downtown dis, resorts......There is also the pearl option in Japan (and also DD, I think?), where you choose an oyster and keep the pearl or pearls inside. Of course, the settings are somewhat overpriced, but probably fall within your price range. (And you are not obligated to buy the setting from them, you can take your pearls home to be set).

CDs are nice, too and help to keep the magic while you are home in "real life!" And we have some fridge magnets, mugs, T-shirts, jammies....same idea.

Happy shopping!

If you want inexpensive, I would suggest the clearance store. It's right beside the Winnie the Pooh/ Pet Tails store.

Last August, my last trip, I picked up two sets of Christmas cards, Hallowe'en Mickey garland and a pack of Princess printer paper, for $10.00 (it was a 4 for 10 deal). This made each item $2.50 , which was incredible since all of the origianl prices were $6 or more.

That being said, I'm a kitschy kind of person, so my taste in 'mementos' might be different then yours (for example, I own three different pairs of Mickey Mouse ears:P)

If you're willing to part with some of your cash, though, the Disney Kitchen store (I can't remember the actual name) nin DTD has a lot of nice stuff for everyday use.

Have a supercalifragilisticexpialidocius trip!

I do like snow globes. Now I'm wondering if any place has blown glass, either paperweights or other objects. Signed would raise my spending limits. . .

Hmmm. . .am now thinking pearls and/or charms. I've got a charm bracelet without charms around here somewhere. And it would be fun to pick out little charms for a bracelet!

Thank you!

At the store connected to the main street bakery. There was a guy doing something with what looked like glass and extremely hot blowtorch thing. He would heat the stuff up really hot and then pull it with another instrument. It turned out he was sculpting a horse. It was really interesting to watch.

When we were there in june they didn't have a lot of snow globes but the guy doing the glass blowing was very interesting to watch. He has stuff allready made or he will do a custom job. Not cheap but beautifull work.

My favorite Disney souvie is a simple pair of cubic zirc mickie earrings. I dont remember the cost but I bought in 2000. I dont wear everday, but they are great to stick in for no reason when jewelry isnt required but add a little something fun. And always makes me think of that trip. I am not a hard core Disney fan and do not have mickey stuff out on the counter.

I got the charm bracelet at Disney and the charms are $4 or $5 each. You can end up spending as little or as much as you want to.

One of my favorite, inexpensive, and most useful souvenirs, was the glass mug I had my name engraved on. I actually have two of these - one standard size with Ariel (probably holds about 8 oz) and a larger one (probably holds about 16 oz because it holds a can of soda with ice) with Mickey. I don't know if they still do them on Main Street or not, but they do them at DTD.

Our favorites have been. Coffee mug, a classic.

Drink straps ($3ish at beverage kiosks) DD10 uses hers everyday, and I use mine fairly often.

Pool towels, DH was on a business trip in Paris and brought me a towel from that Disney, I have never seen one like it at WDW, he also brought me an awesome pair of Chuck Taylor style hightops covered in Mickeys.

But my all time favorite has to be my Stitch tin (it was under $3) I use it for gum, perfectly holds 12 or so pieces of Orbit gum. I chew a pack of gum a day so I really do use this all day, makes me smile every single time I use it. They come with little mints (hate mints, threw them out). You can also get them with Jessica Rabbit, Nemo and LGM's. If you want one I have seen them in the Tomorrowland shops and AKL shop. I love my Stitch :-)

Ok I guess my Mom is coming out of me, do they sell magnets? I figured that would be a great momento and everytime I go in the kitchen I can think of the time at WDW. If they do sell them in the different countries of WS for cheap then I will be able to "shop around the world" but not kill Hubby's wallet. LOL

Me :scratchin

I don't remember magnets in the WS. But there is a store at DD that is strictly magnets. I don't know what they sell though because I never went in it.

Oh yeah!!! Magnetron or something like that. That would be a good place to go. Thanks for reminding me.

The Magnatron at DTD has thousands of cool magnets but they don't have Disney stuff.
