I am in a 2 hour wait on the phone. does anyone know if you can get the sorcerer pass online with the MMB?
I will be FURIOUS if I am shut out of this, I get shut out of every member "extra" I try to date. It's beyond frustrating.

MF go up every year. We still love going but we will pass on laying out more money for priority access to lounges. We never took advantage of the OTU points so that's not something that would entice us.

My take is that these "special" things offered to members should just be covered in the MF, and the increases on those MF should make sure to do so. And...they should be offered to any and all members that pay the MF's. I think they tend to add these great little places like the lounges, but they build them in small spaces or not enough of them. This increases demand so that eventually they can justify charging DVC members to comfortably access them. Not worth a coke and a bag of pretzels to me.

It feels too much like taking advantage of those who have committed to DVC, pay the MF's and make it their priority vacations for many many years. Yes, $99 a year is not a lot to many of us, but for me, that's not the point. I feel like this is Disney dipping their toe into how they can make more money on their DVC members. I don't agree with it or appreciate it. Next year it will be $129, then $139, then $199. There is no ceiling once they see people will pay. I don't see us using this option. One must take into consideration how many days in a year they are actually in a park to access the lounges. Or how often in a location where a lounge may be built in the future. For me, it's $25 a pop just on the off chance the lounge would have a wait list on a day I might be in close enough proximity to use it. I'm out.

Given how long the waits seem today I'm just going to wait to do it tomorrow and hopefully the night I want is still there. I doubt people are rushing to book a bungalow with OTU points anyways :X

I do not think they are going to shut out anyone for the AP...I know the language is there but IMO, I think that is to protect them from if the AP's ever get stopped being sold....because DVC doesn't control that division.

Only the person who purchases will get the BY.....and to access the special events at the lounge, or join the priority waitlist, they need to be present.

Also, the person who is BY has to be the one to actually call MS to purchase the BOGO free OTU points, discounted tickets and use points for AP.

But, waiting until I come back to do the OTU points and renew my AP....it doesn't expire until March 2nd, so I am good!

I believe the BY status is only for the purchaser of the program, not all owners on the membership.

Dynamic wallet passes---at least on iOS---don't require you to do anything for them to be updated. And you really can't do anything to forcibly update them. The update happens by a "push" from the organization that owns the pass. It would not surprise me if Disney IT scheduled these for rolling updates over some period of time, just to better manage the process.

Just an FYI (Or perhaps a reminder for some) that Non U.S. DVC owners are not allowed to buy this (same thing happened awhile back when they introduced multipass LL aka (paid genie +). They ultimately changed it (and relatively quickly if I recall)

We tried to buy this morning and spoke to supervisor to express our displeasure. Got similar reasons as last time (e.g. international laws etc) which all sound like BS. BTW…The only reference to restriction is in FAQ. IMO they should this more explicit in main pages

Im international and bought the membership. I haven’t called yet to buy the bogo.
