This really supports why no benefit or benefit program they offer works for all…

The statements at the meetings were positive in wanting to provide us with more benefit options, which is why more Moonlight Magic events, welcome home weeks, erc.

They did say TIW is not coming back, but that they are always looking at seeing if there would be a way to get us more food and beverage discounts.
What is TWI?

What is TWI?

Tables in Wonderland. It was a discount card you paid for upfront and then it unlocked a 20% discount for TS meals, and it included alcohol.

It was only available to AP and DVC owners. It was $150 when it was ended with Covid.

When I first joined it was $75 and the discounts at restaurants for DVC were pretty sparse.

Now, we get 10% of meals at most places,,,and 15% at some.

So, we stopped getting because we didn’t eat enough TS meals to see savings.

Oh-never seen the abbreviation. Yes-we were hoping it would come back, but now we’ll not get our hopes up.

Don’t forget it included free valet parking too!!

Nothing is "given away" to DVC members. We have all paid thousands, if not tens or hundreds of thousands, into the program.

I have no visions of grandeur. I don't expect any more from DVC than the ability to book villas using my points, like any other timeshare system.

So while offended may have been the wrong word to use, I still think that adding paid benefits on top of an already expensive timeshare system is beyond the pale.
At any company with public or private shareholders each division must find a way to grow profits every year or they will find someone else who will….. and whatever you did this year is the new baseline you’ll have to beat next year.

Anything that you, as a customer, have spent previously does nothing to help the share price or bonus of the current executives.

It’s not fun for the employees, it’s infuriating for the customers, but it is preached in business schools because investors want their capital to grow every year or they will find someplace else to put it.

I don’t see why you won’t be able to as long as they are direct points eligible, especially since you are beyond your banking window.

Can any Sorcerer pass be renewed with points using this benefit.

Or, I'll rephrase that - can you renew a Sorcerer pass purchased as a Florida resident rather than a one bought as a DVC-Y member?

I'l answer my own question since I just had a call with MS and asked...

I was told:

- The Sorcerer pass has to be the "DVC kind" not the "FL Resident" kind. That a bit inconvenient since the FL resident pass can be renewed online and is effortless to do, as long as you're 18+ (it does require a call for a minor who has their own MDE account). But switching from FL Sorcerer to DVC Sorcerer would still be considered a renewal, not a new pass.

Has anyone had a problem buying MMB? I log into DVC and there'a a message that my account has to call MS which I did on Dec. 3rd. I was told then they couldn't figure out why I couldn't buy it since I qualify but there was a hold on my accountant someone will get back to me within a week or so. Fast forward to yesterday and I called them back ,now I'm told there is a qlitch in the system and no one has been able to buy.

As we are seeing with occupancy rates and attendance at domestic parks flatlining, Disney has found the ceiling of what people are willing to pay for their experiences.

The AP has at least doubled, if not tripled, the number of times that I go to WDW.

If Disney wanted to be smart they would practically give DVC members an annual pass, or offer them for a very nominal fee. The money they make from extra visits would far outweigh the upfront costs.
Not everyone with DVC and an AP spends more…there’s cheapo owners like me who go up to 4 weeks a year and spend very little…I don’t need any more souvenirs, bring my own food (cause I like it better) and don’t buy pricy ‘extras’…

That's awesome! I wonder if for every one of you there are 10 of me :)

I definitely believe it with occupancy given all the deals out there, but attendance at parks seems busier than usual, at least currently. Were they reported as low at last quarterly?
