I will be interested to see if the wait times increase a good bit for the member lounge. It has seemed like there has been an at least 30 minute wait for the past few times we have tried to go to the Epcot lounge, I imagine that a regular “riff-raff” member of DVC will probably have to wait now up to an hour hour and a half, probably not making it worth it at all. I hope that I am wrong, but I’m interested to see. This could be a huge negative to the membership…

I’d be very surprised if it changes much. Personally, I’v never had more than a 15 min wait and we’ve gone more times than I can count. How many people will have MMB and use it for the lounge each day when it’s completely booked? Sure you could get unlucky and go at a bad time, but I think those times will be minimal. Unless I’m missing something.

I went to this past week twice and neither time was a wair.

I do think that having the extra night hours for special character meets might encourage some owners to go then vs earlier in the day.

With the MK lounge opening, at least owners have two options which is a good thing…and we have the DS one too!

I guess we will see how it goes.

I’m gonna have to ask for times and dates. I was there with you this week and my experience is 100% not the same as yours. I can’t fathom why, unless they hate the way I look at the podium. Can’t blame em for that, I guess. I tried the Epcot lounge on Friday and Saturday (noonish but maybe a little earlier or later don’t remember exact time) and the DS lounge on Wednesday after lunch, likely around 2. I told my wife I’m pretty sure they lie about wait times to get people to buy into this MMB garbage.

I went Monday and Tuesday, between noon and 1 pm? Give or take? I did the DS one on Tuesday around 4:45 pm as I did the 5:00 pm member update before going to Moonlight Magic.

It was just me and there was no one standing around waiting either…but I got to go right up.

Wow, very different experiences. There were 4 parties before me on one Epcot occasion and 3 at DS. She even said she didn’t want to give me a timeframe because she didn’t want to be wrong if people stayed longer.

Yeah, that has not been our experience. We've been probably 5 or 6 times to EPCOT this year, and we've had to wait at least 30 minutes each time.

My understanding is that you need a points stay to utilize the MMB lounge priority access.

I don’t know how many locals would buyin but I assume not many as they most likely rarely stay on property vs how often they visit the parks.

Any thoughts on how they will distinguish between a regular blue card member and a MMB member when we are in the lounge? I mean MMB have access to characters meet and greet and regular blue card do not - but both will be in the same lounge

I think someone speculated that character meet and greets would happen at the later times when the lounge is only open to MMB participants.

I believe that the designation will change to DVC-YB.
