New member. Just received my vacation planner membership portfolio. I did not get any cards in this package. Do they ship them later?
Thanks, vwl owner.

I bought from Disney direct in July. My membership cards were with my closing documents in a portfolio binder that included the points charts, DVC listings, and DVC info.

Cards are sometimes delayed because they are mailed by a outside contractor periodically.

We received our cards about a week or so after the vacation planning package arrived.

We received temporary cards with our packet. After these expired and we still had not received our membership cards I called and requested them...they never came...I called again a couple of weeks before we went on our first DVC trip...they never came...I called again and requested them before our next trip...they never came...on our third trip using DVC (approximately a year after closing) we walked over to guest services at Disneyland and told them we had not received our cards. They printed them up for us at the center.

The above being said, we have never needed to show our cards to get check into the hotel. We also have annual passes so we have not had to use the cards to get discounts.

Good luck on your quest to get your cards!!!!

Approx 6 months after closing, I had to call 3 times in order to get our 2 Membership Cards. :headache:

What is in the vacation planning package? I purchased resale in mid July and I got my card within a few weeks, but it was just by itself in a small cardboard folder with no other information.

I got one card right when I went in to sign the documents (at Doorway to Dreams in Schaumburg), then got another one in the mail a few weeks later.

People who buy resale don't get the package. You should get the updated points charts when they are published but in reality, all the info you need is on the member website.

I bought direct and got my cards last week in the portfolio package with all the paperwork to sign and return, the planning guides, etc.

We bought resale in November 2010 and received our packet with a large booklet explaining the rules and regulations, each resort, and details on the other components of DVC. We received our membership cards about 2 weeks later.

This too happened to us. We had the temporary cards sent to us with our packet but never received the actual cards. I had forgotten about them until I was looking through my wallet one day and saw the temp cards. I called our guide and he said that he will put a request in to have them shipped ASAP (we were due to leave for our trip in a month) but if we didn't get them in time to just give him another call and he will have them printed up and waiting at the lobby of our resort. Luckily we got them just before we left for our trip.
