How long does it take to get your membership cards if you buy resale. It has been about 4 weeks since we were put in the system.

Thanks

It took us about 4-5 weeks after we were in the system. When I called (and we had been in the system for two weeks already), I was told that it takes up to 6 weeks.

That's about it. 4-5 weeks once your "in the system" - and 5-6 weeks for us Canadians.

We were getting close to going to WDW so I called member services approximately 4 weeks after we closed through TTS, and they sent them out immediately, we got them less than a week later. We just recieved a second set a few days ago. Give them a call if you need them soon.

We closed June 6th and just got back from our 1st stay at SSR last week. While there, I told them that I haven't received my cards yet since we just bought and wanted to know if we really needed them. They sent me over to the Preview Center and they printed up the real blue cards right then and thereand not temporary ones! The CM said that it is something they are able to do now that they couldn't before.

Well I was lied to then. I went by the preview center to pick up information (as well as membership card) and they looked at me like I was from another planet. It was like pulling teeth to get them to give me a point chart.
So far, the only thing I have reveived from disney is the vacation planner. (I got that a couple of days after we were put in their system)

I got the planner first too...then weeks later we got the membership cards. I should say that the envelope that the membership cards came in had a DVC return address from the beautiful state of Georgia. No clue about printing them on site-I think that is the exception and not the norm. I understand being anxious about receiving the cards though. They really are nothing special...on the front it has your member number, name, use year and member since areas. On the back there is a spot for your signature then the toll free and regular number for member services, the fax # and then DVC's po box address for Lake Buena Vista, FL. You will get one for each person that is listed on the deed. As far as being handy for anything, as long as you have your member number (which you can call member services for) you can get any of the DVC discounts and perks that would normally be available to you. It is nice just to have the card in hand...I couldn't wait until mine came.

9+ weeks from settlement, 6 weeks from points in the system and confirmation that they were ordered, called today and they just ordered them again. No big deal if they do not make it by vacation time I will just get them printed at SSR. Never hurts to have a spare set anyway if I get both.
