Membership benefits and extras acknowledgement document for new direct purchases

Well its Wednesday and I've heard nothing from my DVC management contact. This implies one of two possibilities:

1) They've blown me off
2) Given the influx of complaints from other Blue Card holders (many in this thread), they're actually trying to work something out with ticketing.

DVC management's only motivation will be finding the path that causes them the least amount of headache.
If he said give him a couple more days, he’ll call back. That’s the same thing that happened to me.

My contact was supposed to get back to me by today, but I didn't hear from her. I really don't believe she's blowing me off as she has been very understanding about the entire situation, and seems to really be trying to work something out for us. She also mentioned in one of our conversations that they have had many people contact them recently about this issue.

I'm hopeful that they are trying to come up with a solution. I'm going to give her a few days before I call back if I don't hear from her.

You left out 3) APs will be for sale in June, with new, more magic pricing and features, and they are trying to delay until then.

I am on hold right now with DVC as they patch us together to ticket sales and see what happens next. His argument is DVC has nothing to do with tickets and they aren't the ones that stopped the sales. I was letting him know that in circumstances others have purchased tickets and it seems that blue card benefits should be an all or nothing benefit, not select.

I haven't read anything stating they'd be for sale in June. But I probably missed it.

Good luck, please let us know your outcome!

sorry guys and gals!!! So after an hour and a half hold, got disconnected and the DVC guy called back last night but missed his call but I will call back this morning. He gave me a direct line phone number. Should I post for others to call? I'm not sure if that's appropriate or not!!

No, but if you are successful, ask him if it's ok if you share with others to resolve.

I got no where this morning with anyone other than the "we are not ticketing and sales" and "disney is not selling any new AP at this moment" and the "benefits come and go". Please inundate them with calls regarding their false advertisement of benefits and selecting which members get benefits out of the blue card holders. The direct supervisor number line is 1-800-720-4386

With this line of thinking... why should anyone buy direct?? Literally that is the one big reason why you should buy direct.

Thanks for trying, and for keeping us informed!

Does it help to call and text... bombard your sales guide too?
They need to keep members happy because we are word of mouth with friends, relatives and strangers standing in line. Your guide wants to make Sales not deal with these “promises”

Hello Everyone,

My wife and I are new DVC members, December 2020, however have been researching for the last few years.

I signed all my purchase paperwork on my direct contract in December of 2020. After reading this thread and reviewing my contract, specifically page 2 of the Member Extras Acknowledgment and Disclosure Statement I noticed something interesting. On the very top of page 2 its states, "A description of benefits in the Program available to Purchase is as follows:" Then it goes on to state all the member extras available for purchase including annual passes.

So here is my argument, to my understanding Disney stopped selling annual passes in July of 2020. DVC also revised their Member Extras Acknowledgment and Disclosure Statement on October 19, 2020, three months after Disney stopped selling annual passes. I signed my contract on December 24, 2020, so my contract states that annual passes are a benefit that is currently available for purchase, however they will not allow me to purchase them. I know benefits can change at any time and if DVC struck the annual pass benefit out of my contract I would have no problem not being able to purchase annual passes, however they did not. I have spoken with member services twice now and have made no progress. I am currently awaiting a call back from a second supervisor.

Am I crazy or does this sound like a breach of contract? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Mitch
