Members Challenge

Ok, so we checked in today. What a wonderful feeling to pass under that wonderful arch that says Walt Disney World. When we checked in at the VWL we recieved our pamplets with all the wonderful fun filled brochures and special offers. Inside we got our Members Challenge...........set and ready for the BBQ at the BWV.

Since my DH and I have only been members since Feb 2002, we haven't been able to meet other DVCers. So has anyone else who decided to attend have a problem being able to complete the questionere? So far we are about 3/4 done, but my DH wants to go down to the pool and hold up a sign that says "Who is a DVC member?" just to complete the questions.

Any comments that anyone would like to share?

Um, you aren't supposed to complete the member challenge now, you are supposed to mix and mingle with other DVC members on Tuesday to get the answers to many of the questions. I think the challenge was created primarily to encourage interaction amongst members at the festivities on Member Day.

According to the info you have up to 6:30pm Tuesday to complete your challenge and turn it in. The BBQ starts at 5:30 sharp. One hour doesn't give you much time to mingle and get the info.

Don't worry about it. Head over on Tuesday to the registration area and everyone is running around asking questions. "Is there anyone here who...." you'll be done in 15 minutes. IMHO it doesn't create the mixer intended as people are rushing.

It took less than ten minutes for me to complete my challenge, but then it was very easy to strike up later conversations with the folks with whom I initiated conversations to get my answers. And then there were people who came to me for help and they later were chatty. I don't think the point was to have completed all interaction within an hour, it was to "break the ice" and get people to start talking with each other.

I think that it was a good enough plan to get people talking amongst themselves without being burdensome to complete.
