We are excited to announce that kicking off 2017 is a complimentary, after-hours party* at Magic Kingdom Park for Members and their Guests on February 24, 2017 and March 3, 2017 from 10 p.m. - 1 a.m., with early entry available beginning at 8 p.m. Complimentary parking at Magic Kingdom Park is also available on event evenings starting at 7:30 p.m.
Pretty sure all the after hours DVC events have only been 3 hrs long (but they allow you into the parks early so you get more time for free if you don't already have a day ticket).Am I just daft - or did they add more information to the original post. I don't remember it originally telling the times, just the dates:
3 hours seems sort of short - but I guess if you get in at 8 PM that's 5 hours. Normally they charge you $100 to get into the park for 5 hours for a special event - so I don't really mean to complain.

I think honestly that is when it is the best deal since you aren't paying for park ticketsYeah - I think it's the standard length. Just obversing that it will go pretty fast. In our case, we are in Florida for a "Universal Only" vacation - so considering ourselves lucky we can go to MK at all. 5 hours is better than 0 hours.

Otherwise it is more like an extended EMH event.
Reservations will be by phone. When you can call depends on if you have a room reservation or not. See link below.Ok... we've never had a chance to attend a DVC party before. Super excited about this... how do we reserve a spot? Do we have to call member services? Or go online to reserve?
The wristband issued for the event will allow you to enter the MK beginning at 8 pm. To enter the MK prior to 8 pm, you would need park admission. And we don't need a park ticket?? Please advise!
Sure hoping booking for this goes more efficiently than for Soarin'. At least we should expect the phones to work so we don't get thru only to have the calls drop.
I think the Disneyland event booked up in one day. But there has been so much less for DLR vs. WDW.Attendance for the park events is so much greater than the 20ppl for the Soarin tours. There's never been an issue before and they haven't booked up in the first day.
I was told on Friday, that we would reserve ONLINE. This was from a supervisor, who returned my call after I had a big snafu trying to sign up for Soarin' tours. (on hold almost 2 hours, yet others who called after me got thru and were able to book). She said there is something wrong with the phones, as evidenced by the Soarin' sign up mess. So they wanted to do the parties online.
I am just reporting what I was told, I am sure it could be wrong, but at least it was from a "supervisor".
Yeah - seeing now two dates for those with on-site stay (Dec 1) and those without (Dec 6). Did they do this with previous events and did the event fill up with on-site folks?!
I really hope that they can make online booking work for the parties. There are a LOT more spots available than for the Soarin' tour and all those calls would jam the system for hours. I think the online servers can handle that volume better than the MS phones can. Will keep fingers and toes crossed, though.
Didn't the other MK after hour parties take a few days to book up?
Online would be less waiting and go quicker than calling. Software for that would be very similar to making early reservations (for AP or Disney Visa or DVC members) for F&W events plus I don't think Disney IT is as awful as many here seem to think. Seems like F&W bookings went OK.These have made long waits in the mornings for the first hour or two but I think that's it. Online would be nice but I think that will have issues too - it then becomes dependent on Disney IT you know........
