Members celebration at MK in 2017

Has anyone who wanted to register been turned down yet? Just wondering when/if they will reach capacity. I'm thinking that all the worry & stress may have been for nothing, LOL. Guess that Soarin' thing got a lot of us very nervous about this one!

It the first 25th event I've been able to attend. We just seem to miss most of them, but that's the way it goes. I'm excited for this one. Hope I'm not "over-expecting" :)

I had heard from others (on this thread) that previous events like this did not sell out for several days after they opened up to the general DVC populace. You have to figure the Soarin' tour is probably only like 50 people per day - whereas this is likely going to be in the 10,000 - 15,000 people range.

I noticed when we first booked on 12/1 that there was no registration number e-mailed.
I also had to modify our reservation already, and did that on 12/4 before it opened to the masses. Noticed that when modifying the reservation it asked for the confirmation number (which I did not have), BUT it was pre-populated in the number field. So it must have our registration number on file, even though we didn't get it via e-mail. After I modified the reservation, the e-mail confirmation DID have the registration number on the new e-mail this time.
Strange ..........

I wouldn't worry, I think they have everyone's registrations numbers on file !

All the events we have attended so far ......... Typhoon Lagoon and Animal Kingdom, had the registered guests names on a "list". Never had to prove a registration number yet .

Last year's Members Party was fantastic. A special fireworks show, a bunch of food, and the ability to walk on most rides. This year's description feels a little more subdued (no fireworks? less food, possibly), but you should be able to take advantage of the ride opportunities still which makes it all the more worthwhile.

I heard they shut down Adventure-land and Frontier-land for the MK DVC member parties, but cant confirm. What was your experience ?

So excited, thanks for those who responded yesterday! I was able to book us for the March party.

Now if only flight prices would drop a little bit for that timeframe.

I'm looking forward to a fun pre-birthday celebration with the Mouse!

We are in Florida on a Universal trip with no Disney passes - so whatever we get to do thanks to this event will seem like a bonus.

I do hope they announce in advance what will be open in park - because we get to enter the park at 8 PM if for instance Adventureland and Frontierland is closed for the DVC event we will want to head there first!

Totally agree.

Just a quick question / PSA for those who registered on December 1st.

On the 1st I registered, even with the glitches in the system, and got a confirmation email. So we were all set for the March 3rd event.
Today I went to register, so that our Florida family can join us, and there was still room. YAY!

BUT I noticed a very big difference in the registration confirmations:

The one I did today has an actual REGISTRATION CODE number: xxxx-xxxxxxxx-xxxx whereas the reservation from 12/1 DID NOT. This showed up just above where it says Here's what you need to know as you prepare to party

I would advise all that registered on 12/1 to check and double check that they received an actual number. I would hate to see people turned away just because the system was glitchy and didn't assign a reservation #.

Same, but they have it.

Yep. Good description.

Of course, the info given in the second email was all funky and wrong...

The again AGAIN, that first email had the same italicized stuff as in the modified email. Oh Disney, why can't you hire competent people?

Actually, I think you're right now that I think about it. Still, we had a GREAT time. We're a group of adults who all love going to WDW so for us to go on Dumbo for the first time in years because it was a walk on or the Tomorrowland Speedway...it was a lot of fun.

I for one kept saying it would take time to fill. The park events have a lot of capacity. Of course that won't stop the people from worrying.

Tomorrowland and Fantasyland attractions were open as well as HM. The rest was not part of of the party.

Hopefully they will announce that ahead of time - as I said, my thought is since that part of the park will be closed, I would head to BTMRR and Pirates at 8 PM, and save the sections that would be open after 10 PM for then.
