Member Services messed up my Honeymoon Ressies

If you don't hear from them by Monday, I would call again and go higher up the chain. I don't normally throw hissy fits but this one calls for it!

Yeah I agree. But it's very difficult for me to call at work. I have been extremely busy lately because I am moving in a few weeks, finishing up a big project, had a conference, have been travelling for work, etc. So I've been working like 12 hour days with no lunches and tons of meetings... etc, etc. But I need to work on it.
 
My guardian angel must have been watching.

When BCV was new (we own there) we were charging something 4 days prior to check-out. The clerk said I couldn't charge to the room because we were checked out. Sure enough they did check us out and we need to get our stuff out of the room.

To make a long story short, after a phone battle between MS and the manager we got re-instated. Also got points back.

On top of that I got a 1:00 check-out due to them deactivating the keys at 10:00am as we were loading the car. Went back to the room to get several more suitcases and the keys wouldn't work. Didn't get new ones until 11:30.

As we were driving out my wife was stroking my head saying 'down boy' and feeding me meat. Grrrrrrrr.

I think that was the year of many problems there.
 
I sure hope things work out for you:thumbsup2 We had several mixups DURING our stay at BCV last year and they did end up putting us up in a room at the yacht club for the remainder of our stay. So they CAN (and I'm sure will) make things right.
 
Still no word. The member services person (is there a title for them?) told me Sunday she would have the supervisor handling my issue call on Monday and leave a message. Didn't happen. So I called Tuesday near the end of day and had them check into the issue, letting them know that the supervisor wasn't returning my calls. She is STILL waiting on her manager to research the issue. I have a feeling this will never get resolved.
 

Don't give up. Stay on it. I must say that I still believe that all will turn out ok. I have high hopes for in your case. I just cannot imagine that they will not do something. Just keep persuing it and keep your chin up!
 
call them back and tell them it is the point cost is the problem. 12 points vs 9 (or whatever)

maybe then you might get some action.

also maybe somebody though they were helping you get a better view. they might have seem honeymoon and though it was help. not understanding the big difference in point costs.

did you have a reservation anywhere before this?

Yes I had a boardwalk view reservation that got cancelled when the waitlist came through. So now for the same point costs I get to look at a scary clown and people in bathing suits - blech
 
So I was getting really fed up dealing with this and I submitted a pretty charged letter via the "contact us" link on the dvc members site. This was the morning of 8/22 (fri). By the end of the day this had been escalated to the Member Satisfaction Team. Yesterday (Saturday) I got a call from Member Services (as I was leaving Downtown Disney no less) that they were reinstating our boardwalk view!!! :cool1:

Then I log on today and we're actually in standard - not sure if they pushed that through (since we had the same reservation number) instead of the boardwalk or what, but we had it waitlisted so we are happy.

I feel kind of bad for writing the letter and calling out the supervisor who wouldn't respond to me but it was very very very bad customer service. I would call and they would say I would receive a reply and nothing would happen. After a month I found out everything was still in the same place and I was just entirely aggravated. Just glad to know things worked out! And The person who called me to close out the issue was VERY nice, congratulating us on the upcoming wedding and all.

So if anyone else has any issues just keep trying!
 
That's awesome!!! So glad it worked out! Now you can relax and deal with the other 5,000 things that happen in planning a wedding!;)
