I just had a really great experience calling Member Services. My waitlist came through for my reservation later this month and I called to have the reservations combined so I wouldn’t have to change rooms. I had a few points in holding due to the change in reservation (those points were borrowed from 2024). I expected to lose them because I have a September use year and won’t be going back before they expire. Without me asking him (because I knew they were borrowed and that if my waitlist came through I’d lose them), he moved them back into 2024 for me.

It was such a nice guest oriented thing to do and I am so appreciative. Reminds me why I ❤️ DVC so much!
 
I had a similar experience last month - on two separate resale contracts there were stranded points that had missed their banking deadline and they moved them into 2024 (unprompted - I was calling about something else entirely). Very pleasant surprise!
 
I recently had excellent guest services also. I had worked myself into a tizzy and was so aggravated I could not understand how genuinely and perfectly they had fixed everything for me by salvaging and moving . At first I was upset and they transferred me to the highest level manager at the time.
24 hours later when I had calmed down, I realized I was aggravated with myself .
One thing I did learn … DVC would always prefer We call them first before we make our own problems worse for them to “fix”…
I will always follow this advice !
 
A similar thing happened to me (well my step-FIL, but I had to try to figure out the mess he (83 at the time) caused AND then try to explain to MS what happened to have them hopefully fix it). Long story short, my step-FIL booked his stepson a room through II, well somehow, he ended up pulling almost 350 points over from his accounts (the II room was only like 110 points). So, he ended up borrowing from the next year, and obviously put too many points into II, it was a MESS! When I had finally figured out what should have happened, I called MS and they were amazing and we straightened everything out together and they pulled the points back from II and even put the mistakenly borrowed points back into the UY they came from. They were awesome!
 

MS took excellent care of me a couple different times this week too. The first was a convoluted reshuffling/reassignment of points from different UYs to accommodate some last minute reservations. They handled this without a hitch, and I wasn't even sure it could be done, let alone whether I could explain it well enough for them to get it. And then this morning I did a chat to find out in general what the current wait time is for points to load, as I have a VGF contract that showed up on Wednesday and a BLT contract that will hopefully be showing soon, and without me even asking the CM found me the points and loaded up the VGF contract.
