Member Services and Airline Question

Upon calling Member Services, there is an option for Airline Tickets. Do DVC Members get a discount on airline tickets or can points be used? We've been members since Aug. 2003, and never used this option when calling in. Any info. is appreciated! Thanks!

Points can not be used. As far as I know, there is no specific discounts, though Disney/DVC may have some sort of agreement with specific sponsor airlines (I don't think there are any sponsor airlines currently, since Delta didn't renew their Deamflight/Official Airline contract years ago).

They simply act as a travel agent for your convenience. Personally, I prefer booking my own air. However, they may be able to book a rental car at a better price, depending on the codes they use, as Alamo/National is still the "official" rental car company. I doubt the rates are any better than many other corporate car codes.
