Hello I was wondering has any one received their member number within 2 weeks of the deed being recorded? My deed was recorded 3/29 and my 7 month mark is coming up on 4/13 hoping to book but thinking probably not going to happen sadly

My number showed up in our DVC online account on Saturday (closed 3/24, second contract), but I'm still waiting for the points to be loaded in.

Are you a first time buyer? That seems pretty quick, that's encouraging as we wait to receive ours.
Yes we are first time buyers and bought resale. Our deed was recorded the same day as closing. We even booked a trip near the end of this month with 35 banked points from 2014. Found a few days availability at Saratoga Springs. We closed March 11.

We got our letter with the member number about 3 weeks after closing. Still waiting for the new member package. maybe this week?
What's in the new member package? The only other package we have received is the 2016-2017 point value book via FedEx.

Our deed was recorded 2/1 and we received our membership letter 2/19. I called and got our number 2/15.

From what others have said, it sounds like the membership book, magnets and your DVC ID cards. We haven't gotten the point value book either.

Just the book and magnets. No ID cards. Otherwise you wouldn't need the separate letter with the membership number. The book and magnets come from a fulfillment company in NE Atlanta (which I almost interviewed for a job with about 15 years ago, interestingly...)

Thanks. Sounds like I haven't missed much. I've seen people posting about ID cards. Are they still sending those out, as we have not received them. When I log into our DVC account, I see a link to print out your card.

Did you just ask for your member number or log on? I have seen a bunch of people say they couldn't get their number over the phone.

Has any one had any luck getting their member number or log in by calling member services?

Yes some have. If you read through the Closing Time thread, there are hints to help you get your membership number. It all really seems to depend on who answers your call.

I told them that we were coming in April and that I needed my membership number to be able to buy a Gold AP 60 days in advance for my FP's. They asked no questions, just looked for my number. When they (member services) couldn't find it they sent me to another department (member admin) that searched through the piles until they found me. They said that I was 3/4 of the way down and keep calling daily. It took 3 days.

The key is in the wording. Member services told me that Member Administration could look up my number, and sent me to that department. The first time I just asked and was told "we can't find you in the system". What I've found with Disney is that if you put in your question that you KNOW they CAN do it, they will. Every time after that when I called I said "Member Services told me that you could look up my membership number so that I can buy my Gold AP's before my 60 day FP date" and they all said "sure" and looked.
