Member Locker?

Does any have/use a member locker? We are wondering if it's worth it to have some of our stuff stored at Disney for future trips. Anybody got any input? Thanks!

It's called Owner's Locker and YES YES YES YES!!! We love our Lockers (we have 2) and they make our trips so worry-free and comfortable - I can't imagine going to Disney without them and miss them when we go anywhere else!

Here's a link to a thread with lots of info and suggestions about what to store...I included my list but there are other great ideas in this thread. Aside from being so useful, the service from the OL folks is IMPECCABLE! I love getting a text message that my locker has arrived at my resort before I have and it always makes it back to its "home" before I even get to the airport to get back to my home. Even reading the OL Facebook updates is great fun - they really understand members and what makes them tick.

There's a great deal at the top of the thread list, too. You really can't go wrong with OL!

Yea we have 1 Owners Locker and love it. It is especially nice now that most of the airlines are charging for luggage! We have had excellent service with the pick up and drop off as well! All Ears website usually has a deal where you can get a discount on the initial cost.

I haven't even "met" my locker yet and I"m so looking forward to it. I have a box all packed up ready to be shipped down just of shampoo filters for coffee, sunscreen and the list goes on. That way the next time we go all we have to do is throw some clothes in a carry on bag and away we go. NO more 3 1 1 for us!

Also the guys at OL are awesome. Anytime I have a question I get a quick reply back. The updates on FB are fun and the pictures they post are great ones.

My husband thought it was not a great idea until I pulled out the huuuuggee suitcase put all of my personal items and then all the toiletries and so on. He handed me his CC and said to just do it.

Yes!!! Getting an Owners Locker (and then a second one) is one of the best decisions we ever made. The convenience of having so many items already waiting for us is priceless.
As others have said, the service is impeccable, it is definitely a people/customer oriented business.

It is really incredible to not have to bother with toiletries, ponchos, mist fans, and the other little stuff that takes time to deal with and space in our luggage. Now we can easily travel carry-on if we want and not just avoid baggage fees, but travel more easily with fewer things to lug.

I can't tell you what the cost is to be perfectly honest - all I know is it's priceless for us!

LOVE our Owners Locker! It took me a LONG time to convince DH that it would be worth it - but then that first trip that we made with only carry-ons he was SOLD on it!! ESPECIALLY now that (almost) all of the airlines are charging for checked luggage!! We just booked a Med cruise for 2011 and I have already been thinking about how much I will miss it 'cuz I will have to pack everything for that trip. I should start my packing list now!

Thanks for the details and links....I found it right after I posted and there is a DIS-count right now - $45 membership plus an additional visit per year for the first 3 years. That's pretty great. I'm so signing up!

I'm looking forward to seeing our very first locker in about 2 1/2 weeks! I posted a similar thread before I went ahead and signed up. I got AMAZING feedback on it. Literally pages of positive things!! The 2 gentlemen who own and operate owners locker have an amazing product and offer amazing costumer service!!

I have a box of stuff that I'm going to ship down to put in our locker. I think that all I'll have to pack in the way of tolietries is DH razor and my makeup!!

You can pack it in a suitcase, ship it to yourself at the resort, or buy it once you are there. I did a little bit of all three.

The Locker is well worth it and that doesn't even describe the quality of people (John and Brian) that you will be dealing with they are top notch.

The world would be a better place if all businesses were as well run as Owners Locker. DVC upgraded my vacations at WDW and Owners Locker has upgraded by DVC!

I love ours. I actually just ordered a second locker because I want to leave some pillows and other stuff this time around also if I pack it right when the kids and I go in January we should be alble to go in one bag. though I will have to check it since I am the only adult going and will still have my stroller.

WOW! I wish everything could have such a glowing endorsement! I'm sold! I thought it sounded like a great idea, I just wasn't sure it was worth it. Now I know that it will definitely be worth it to us. Thanks for all the great info. I'll be getting mine immediately!

what is meant by a "visit". i assume it means getting access to your locker which is not the same as a delivery.

you can store just about anything as long as it isn't perishable or dangerous. A visit means delivery to your resort and your annual membership comes with 2 visits- the initial one and another in your use year. The DIS deal nar the top of the topic listing provides an extra free visit each year and half off the annual fee for the first couple of years. If you need more visits in a year you pay an additional fee per visit-I think $25 for the first Locker and half that for any additional Lockers.

It truly is a great vacation-enhancing service!
