Member Cruise Question...

We're looking at doing the 2011 Member Cruise. Anyone have any clue what the points requirements usually are for these trips? Do they tend to be same or higher than other September sailings?

We'll be looking at two adults and two kids (11 and 4) in a category 8 room.

Just trying to get an idea so we can start planning rest of 2011. If anyone has any idea please let us know.

Historically, point requirements have been higher for the Member Cruises for the most part. Sometimes the tips have been included, sometimes not.. But DVC charters the entire ship and puts on some fabulous entertainment and special guests. There are great gifts each day in your stateroom, and so many fellow DVC members to socialize with and enjoy.

The next one (2011) will be on the new Disney Dream. We are considering that one ourselves!

Where do I get general info about the member cruise? Dates, price, etc? Or has is not been released yet? I see the 2010 member cruise info on the members web site.

The only thing the DVC has released so far for the 2011 member cruise are the dates. It will sail on the Disney Dream, September 18 - 22, 2011. The dates were published in the latest Disney Files magazine. Points and Cash rates will probably be released either late Sept. or early Oct this year.

DH and I are planning on going (if we can get through to MS) and if we don't have the points, then cash will have to do! I've heard so many wonderful things about the member cruise and would love to go!
