Beautiful shoot, you're going to be a beautiful bride, I can't wait til you post pics!

The flowers look real. I really had to look at them twice to see. They are beautiful. Everything looks like its coming together smoothly!

I have to be honest I was so nervous to do this shoot, I really was I am really conservative this was out of my comfort zone for sure but my friend did something similar and her husband loved it so I figured why not? and thank you so much I can't wait to just be married now! and I love my flowers they are so life like its the perfect comprise! and it really is all starting to come together just a few final things to do and then it will be here

I also adore the wristlet, the customization with the blue really makes it!

Thank you I am so happy with how they came out I was really worried about it! and what kind of issues did you have with floral? me and my DF are still using them for the free bouquet and boutonniere we get.

Our Disney floral was gorgeous. The problem was that they had to drop off about half of it in my room the morning of the wedding so I had people interrupting me to pick up their floral about once every 5-10 minutes.I got the oceanfront elegance bouquet and it could not have been prettier.

If you do it make sure to share your ideas I love my flowers I just go the real things today and they are so lightweight and look so real you should definitely look into that for your wedding its a great alternative to the cruise limited floral! and thank you I am so excited too I can't believe i have been engaged for two years and I only have like 17 more days till I get on the ship and 15 until I am in Florida!

I got my idea for them from Gingers PJ too! I think it is such an awesome compromise and my DF loves them they look so real its really unbelievable and they are so light weight! I struggled with the corsage thing too I went back and forth but couldn't justify spending that much for a bouquet for really 15 minute ceremony and then a few pictures so we are also getting her a cute clutch I have seen that on a few sites and love that idea! I am so excited for my wedding to my days are just flying by I can't believe it and my bride airplane outfit is coming in today or tomorrow and I will make sure to post about that

Only 13 more days and I will be flying to Florida 14 days and I will be at HP wizarding world and only 15 days I will be setting sail on the Disney Fantasy!

Hello Everybody!!

I have been a long time lurker of the DisBoards PJ’s and have loved following along and getting so many fantastic ideas and am so excited that I can finally start my own! So let’s get started:

About the Bride:
My name is Melissa and I am from Southern California about 45 minutes away from Disneyland where I hold a season pass. I love anything Disney and just love the Disney feeling! I work in property management and love to read I always take a book with me wherever I go and am very excited to marry my high school sweetheart!

About the Groom:
My DF name is Andre and he is also from Southern California and is not such a Disney Lover but after having a season pass with me for four years it’s starting to grow on him! He graduates next month with his Bachelor’s in Political Science and Government and then will be starting law school this fall in San Diego which is all very exciting and nerve racking at the same time!

How we meet:
We meet when we were seven and eight years old so I cannot remember NOT knowing him, we were best friends for the longest time and then in high school we became boyfriend and girlfriend and now were engaged and getting ready to be married in 13 months! I never would have thought I would be marrying my childhood best friend but I would not have it any other way is someone who completely knows me and loves me!


Our proposal:
The way Andre proposed to me was extremely special and romantic and I still can’t believe it but here is a little back story, I and Andre every year go on a vacation and lately it has been Disney Cruises (who can beat their service and free food all the time???) While on August 2012 sailing on the Fantasy we booked a Europe cruise for the following June! We had always wanted to go to Europe and this was an affordable and DISNEY way to do it. His family also joined us and fast forward to June we were setting sail from Barcelona Spain. I had no idea he had an engagement planned before we left he had told me when we get back we will look at rings I was a little bummed but I was still going to Europe so I didn’t want to be negative on a trip of a lifetime! On our port day in Civitavecchia, Italy we went into the city into Rome which was so beautiful and breathe taking and our first stop was Vatican City and lo and behold the POPE is there! It was a surprise visit and there were people everywhere it was insane (this was apparently the spot Andre wanted to propose but the Pope took his thunder oh well) so after an hour of listening to his sermon we headed on to the Coliseum which was the highlight of my trip! We were walking around and Andre sat me down to “take a breather” (it was really hot) he was really nervous and fidgeting which is so out of character I was like hun you okay? Then the next thing I know he is down on one knee telling me the cutest speech ever about he loves me and wants to marry me and pulls out a ring and I grab it out of the box put it on and say “hell yeah” I know tradition is the boy is supposed to put on the ring but after 5 years at that time of waiting I wanted the ring NOW haha it was so amazing that his family was there to witness everything here are some pictures to enjoy

My eyes were all puffy from crying!! I couldn't keep my emotions in check

Okay this post came out longer then intended next post will be about choosing a Disney Cruise!

Thank you so much!! I am so excited to wear my dress less than two weeks now! I have so much fun shopping its a guilty pleasure of mine, and post pictures I can help with suggestions I love my aisle guard hopefully it will work and the HP ties are going to be so much fun!
