Melia or Caribe Royale?

We are planning a trip during christmas time. Since I know it will be so crowded, we are just trying to get away and enjoy what orlando has to offer. We are a family of 5, so I was looking for places that would accomodate our family. We own timeshare, but in this case our stay will be mid-week check in, which most timeshares don't allow. Am I better off with the Melia in Celebration or Caribe Royale closer to disney? Caribe looks like it is more kid-friendly. I would like to avoid heavy traffic every time we leave the resort if possible. Looking for a great resort because we will not be spending our days at the parks this time around!
