This coming Dec 31 I am taking my grand-daughter Hannah to Disney World.
We were having tea after a sleep over on sat when she said" Nana are we going to have tea at Disney"?
Well this made me think --just before she was born, I bought a beautiful Alice In Wonderland Tea set and she loves having "Tea Time' with Nana. So I called Disney Dining and booked the Alice in Wonderland Tea.
Then I set about making an invitation, envelope and then I ended up making a Booklet for her to have Alice and the Mad Hatter sign and record a few memories.
Then I thought it would be cute to have the resort(OKW)front desk call her in the room and say a package was delivered for her and she has to come and pick it up.
So I found a White Rabbit which you'll see in the pictures and I'm going put him in a basket filled with treat--most important will be a watch--she has never had a real one and I know she really wants one. "Don't Be Late" said the rabbit.
So I tried printing myself and it looked terrible--headed to Kinkos and i think they turned out great. They made my stuff into little booklets(frosted front cover --spiral binding) and the cost was reasonable.
I took some pictures with a phone camera and thought I;d try to share them.

I'm going to try and post a few pictures of the other two booklets I made her

One is a Hannah meets the Princesses--we are doing the
Cinderella's Royal table for breakfast.

And the other is a booklet for Ohanas Best Friends Breakfast.
I found her a beautiful combination tropical-Minnie sundress and a cute Minnie jacket this weekend.

I apologize for the quality and having to click on each thumbnail to see them--not very technical here.

Hugs Mel

That is so adorable. What a great memory. And can I also get in line to be one of your grandkids? My mom is also "Nana" to all of her grandchildren.

Can I ask how you had the book printed by Kinko's and what they charged you? You put together my DD's travel journal (Allison, we're headed to DLR in two weeks). I was afraid that they would not do that due to copyright purposes. Did you take it on a disk or a jump drive and they did the rest? I really want to do that with the journal for DD but I don't have any idea what I need to request to get exactly what you did.

Thanks!

Hi Hon

Ok i went into kinkos and used their computer to download from photobucket which was silly because you then pay to use the computer time. I learned that i should have just uploaded the images to a USB key and taken it in--i did this the next two visits.

Anyhow i just asked to have them printed on light laser print card stock--I could have done regular paper--cheaper. each card stock sheet was $1.20.

The cost of the Ohanas and Wonderland were approx $10.00--with frosted cover and binding.

The Princess one was approx $17.00-- with frosted cover and binding
alot more pages in this one.

The guys at my Kinko's were great and i am very happy with the quality of the images.

Hope this helps,
if you do have the Journal printed please post a picture if possible, and have a great trip.

Hugs Mel

Re copyrights--I clearly said "I " made this little booklet for my grandaughter and NO one said anything to me about copyrights.

Mel! You are so creative! And, I just love that White Rabbit. Where ever did you find him?

My DGD loves the Wondeland Tea Party. I didn't book it this year, but as soon as we got into the GF, she said 'OH I WANT TO GO TO THE TEA PARTY!'. Luckily we were able to book her for the next day. You do realize that the Wonderland Tea Party is exclusive to kids only. The good news is now they have the photopass people there to take lots of photos. After the party, you go upstairs to the photopass booth and they will select all your photos and place on your photopass account. They did manage to get some great photos.

How lucky is Hannah to have you for a Nana? You are such a good Nana!

I really want to do the afternoon tea at the GF with my DGD, maybe next year.

Have a magical time! Karen

Hi Karen
I was searching high and low for him and couldn't find one here in Canada--until today when the Disney store in Mississauga called to let me know they found one.:worship: YEAH! So I did what any Nana would do and raced to the store.:drive:
I knew the Tea was for kids only but I am so thankful that you mention that they take photos. This will be just as special for me as her and I'd love to have a few photos as a memory of the day. Thanks for sharing and Hugs

I love Grandmothers! T:flower3: Thanks for all you do for all the rest of us too! You make it easier to be one of those "crafty" moms.
