Meghan's Bay vs Coki Beach

Last time we were at St. Thomas, 5 years ago, we went to Meghan's Bay. It was beautiful. Wondering if anyone has been there lately. Also we have been reading about Coki Beach. Can we get some information about the beach, location, transportation, etc.

We went to Coki Beach with the advice of a taxi driver. He charged $20pp to take us and pick us up at whatever time we wanted to return. He also included an island tour to the top of the mountain. It was wonderful.

The beach is not large and when we arrived around 9:30am, it was empty. There was great snorkeling and was located right next to Coral World, which had a snack bar, bathrooms, & showers you could use without paying admission to Coral World. There was also a snack bar and chair rental place on the beach. The beach did fill up later on when the excursions arrived, but we truly had it to ourselves for quite a while. We left the beach at 2pm for our tour and still had time to shop around the port before dinner and the shows. We would definitely go back!

Hi Judgekw,

On our 4/6 Magic Cruise we did BOTH! We walked to the car rental agencies, did a little bartering, and rented a vehicle for $70 for the day (a good deal for a family of six). This way we were able to drive around at will and enjoy the spots in our own time. We also did the same thing in St. Maarten. This gave us a ton of "extra time" because all excursions you have to wait for everyone to assemble, get on the bus, off the bus, etc.
