the person seems really nice, she has a contract to send, and its 50% now, 50% due 60 days prior to arrival. she also explained that she has a vacation home in orlando that she recently purchased which is why she doesnt use her DVC as often
.....since we definately are able to rent points mike and i also have decided to buy our park tickets this week ..ahead of the rumored price jump ( i know its only 5% and that comes out to a whopping $50..but hey thats like breakfast at CP! )

i know i know i should be doing wedding stuff...but every time i try and go like dress shopping for myself or bridesmaids ...none of my bridesmaids are around....(except for my sil....she is always willing to help...i should appreciate her alot more than i do )

it seems like every time i want to talk wedding at home no-1 wants to hear it from me ..i know its a ways off and i have the big stuff done but still..its kind of like this is a HUGE step in my life...you think someone would be interested in wanting to talk to me and help me...since im cluless as to what i should be doing lol....

Girl you got me!!!! I know the feeling of people not wanting to talk about your wedding. Its a stinky feeling and sadly there is nothing you can do about it. But thats why we're on the DIS and ready to help you in all your wedding stuff! So let talk Centerpieces!! What are your plans for those?

I googled gold and pink centerpieces and i found this inspiration board. I like the centerpiece... what do you think? It looks easy enough too!

Hi. Just catching up with your PJ so here are my comments as i'm reading.

I think that all of the Mickey/Minnie stuff you posted might border on "too much." I think a lot of it is really cute but I don't know if I'd use ALL of it.

...................i think its funny because i never would have pictured this style for me! i totally thought i would be more ruffles and ballgown..but i tried some of those on and it just wasnt right for me...i looked frumpy ...now i just need to loose more weight lol no more late night mcdonalds i swear!!

I don't think you need to lose any weight.
Isn't it funny how we tend to like one style in photos but then once we try on different dresses we change our minds? I never thought I'd want a halter neckline but my mom convinced me to try one on and I LOVED it.

Colors...I know you love pink. But have you considered pink and green? I think green would help it seem a bit more "late summer/early fall" but it would still have a lot of pink.

I love these shades of pink and green together. They are classic but still fun.

i've started to look at some bouquet styles
but it seems like every time i look at something and mention it to someone at home i basically get told who cares lol

so i just bookmark things for later...i need to start posting stuff here!

for my brothers wedding i had my hair in a side swept ponytail...i could always do that again.....my thing is ill end up throwing it in a pony tail if i leave it down ..i always do when im dancing so id probably be better having it up....the other thing i like about this style is the front part of the hair isnt pulled straight back is to the side ( not that you can really see it )
i just feel like i look like a boy with my hair up hahahaha

i have so much hair so whatever i decide to do with it--there will be lots of hairspray and lots of bobbypins

I'm going back and forth with the same hair issue! I wanted my hair down, then moved to a half up half down style... but i ALWAYS have my hair up! even when i do it down for work or going out, i have a "go to" elastic on my wrist and by the end of the day its up! We're going to have to brain storm alot on this one!

i officially quit planning....sooo i tell my mom about adding color to the wedding (the pink & green centerpiece is eye catching and i kept going back to it) and she doesnt understand why there would be more than one color in a wedding and shes like well a florist or someone would explain for you what to do..im like but i wont meet with a florist until after i pick out colors and do bm stuff and half my other planning...
...oy now we see where i get my uncreativeness.....

so i tossed and turned all night thinking about colors ( maybe not pink?! ) and bridesmaid dresses and what will fit in the room....
...needless to say i have a major headache ...so i got a bagel with extra butter and a 20oz bottle of coke for breakfast...so not on my diet ( which to date i have lost 6.2lbs! yey !)

im going to my hair dresser on saturday for a regular highlight and cut so im going to find out about the wedding packages (ie when to book) and also what she thinks i should do with my hair ..maybe she can help ...im also going friday ( BY MYSELF) to look at bm dresses..just for styles and colors...that way i can get an idea of whats out there...tehn ill take a few girls back and give them some options...i think it will be a disaster if itake them and say go have fun

hmmm what else did i decide while i didnt sleep?
oh yeh i need a vacation...im going away to maine the 27-31..but that isnt good enough...i want to go to my condo in ft myers for a few days ( and maybe take a road trip?! its only 2 hrs!) but df wants a few days to take off to play golf....uh hello?! anyone seen the weather around new england?! its like rain...rain...oh and thunderstorms lol who knows
maybe a few days away from home will be good although no internet so my dis interaction will be limited to IF i get any cell reception

well i think thats all my sad rants for now

I understand you completely! Honestly alot of people dont understand weddings in this day in age. DF's parents eloped with their best friends up in north conway so to her our wedding seems rediculouse so believe me i understand!

I recommend sleepy time tea made by celestial seasons (it has a bear sleeping in a rocking chair on the box) It helps me sleep when i'm too busy freaking out about wedding planning.

DF said something to me yesterday when i was having my meltdown and it was some great advice so i'm going to share it with you.... "If we do it ourselves not only will it be exactly what we want but we'll feel more accomplished when we see the final outcome." If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself basically. It would be ideal to have our families and friends help us out but it looks like that isn't going to happen for some of us.

I like the idea of the pink and green, its very "in" and if you wat my opinion just make sure the green isn't a pastel green. Make sure its a bright bold green like disbridetoni's colors. I also likes the pink and gold too, i think its very classy and unique. Both are totally different "looks" so it depends how you want the feel of your wedding. Green and Pink for more fun or gold and pink for more elegant and romantic.

I totally hear you about colors. I don't know why it's so stressful...too many choices and great looks I think. Df is tired of talking about colors. Remember though, this is your (and df's) wedding...not your mothers. Lol, trust me...I get it. But ultimately it's what you want. What does your df say??

i think you are smart for going BM shopping by yourself. I didn't have that problem since I only had a Moh BUT if there were more in the wedding, I would have done the same thing.

I love love love the pink and gold idea. I had even decided on pink and green for a bit...if you have a few hours go through my PJ lol. I think those three colors would be beautiful. You could do champagne/ivory colored linens. You have so many options.

Hang in there...everything will get done!!
